Draw on paper as illustrated first the number (12) *1 Line as the top and *2 Lines at the bottom separate them. Then (24) as the vertical lines separated. *2 Lines starting on the left as seen on the video then *4 Lines on the right as illustrated. separate them!
Now add the dots the same way he did, starting from the RIGHT to the LEFT. The right side has 8 dots, the LEFT side has 2 dots and the MIDDLE section has 8 Dots [combine middle parts] L2 M8 R8 = 288 =)
I find it hard to comprehend without an explanation, it should at least have a written one so that after you watch it you can read on the method, the way he does it it seems as after he draws the lines he works from the RIGHT to the LEFT by circling the three points on the RIGHT and then two dots on the LEFT placing the correspondent number next to it then adding all the numbers to get a seven, i totally think i am wrong,
Add dots from left to right, 2 then the middle 7 then the last. 3 = 273??
@TheThomasvision mm..i know..i tried it with 14 x 33....it didn't work, so i ended up using a calculator anyway...funny...i thought this thing was supposed to help you without using a calculator. ?? i think it just made multiplication more complicated than it already is.
@MrAmerica99997 It breaks the math down into factors of their decimal place as lines, where the lines cross is the product of how many lines there are, then you re-multiply them by their decimal places by writing it out as a number again. 21= (2x10)+(1x1) and 13= (1x10)+(3x1)! 21x13= (2x1x100) [left] + (2x3x10) [topmid] +(1x1x10) [lowmid] + (1x3x1) [right]. The genius is the multi by 100, 10, then 1 is done as you write it left to right.
@LaughingMan42 it would be wayyy easier if people didn't have to type down the explanations....i think its way more understandable if this thing had audio or something..
@MrAmerica99997 its not a simple trick it is the Mayan Mathematical sys its more than 3,000 years old its how we discovered how to read the Mayan calender was discovering what these scratches meant no one realize it was a calculator
I think there is nothing to understand about, just counting, your brains don't have to work/think anymore... But what if you use the zero? with the number one you draw one line, with number 4 , 4 lines, but what to do with 104 x 220 ??????

This trick is actually visualization based, but still is the same as "the traditional way"
