Im guessing the complicated patterns simulates an obstacle such as a wall. So how does it perform on plain white walls? the high tech sensors might not see it at all and eventually crash in to it. It is a nice idea thou, it would be great if it will be self sufficient, meaning the batteries won't die. Maybe a light weight solar panel to replace the wings and a programmable time to land would be handy. I would not want to chase this thing across the hallway. Just my opinion.

It needs to be able to see the walls and ground. If they were just plain white, it couldn't tell the difference and would just crash due to lack of depth perception.

this is awesome i made one and it cant fly everywhere it uses a infrared sensor if the sensor breaks the mcro cpu will calculate the distance of the break and will make a turn when needed
