  • I'm so happy that PJ's pet stores stopped 'selling' puppies. It was one of the most depressing things to see ever. Dingle is so cute, and looks so happy!!

  • All of you who say these puppies deserve a home are evidently forgetting the cages of breeder dogs left at the mill. Once past breeding age they are killed. Many NEVER see a blue sky or walk on grass.

  • While my dog is "priceless" in one sense, the price tag attached to his vet bills is $10,000 and climbing.

All dogs do deserve a home, but they don't deserve a "home" where they are kept in poor conditions and bred constantly to supply Hunte and pet stores.

By buying from the pet store (and indirectly Hunte) I contributed to puppy mills... and therefore the suffering of dogs. That makes me feel sick.

  • I love my Hunte Puppy!!! He is priceless..All dogs deserve a home..

  • Thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear that your pup is from a mill as well.

  • You video really hit home for me. I to, just bought mu Welsh Terrier fro a Petland store. His papers say "The Hunte Co." on the bottom. I researched, and discovered after he came home with kennel cough that he was from a puppy mill. I spent a lot for him, and it all went to SUPPORT a puppy mill!! We love out dog,Bently so much. I also believe, that if we wouldn't have gotten him, what would they have done with him... ? Killed him

  • I too have a dog that most likely came from a puppy mill in MO. We were suckered by PETLAND. Please do not support their business. Their Puppies all come from Hunte corp. Lets stop PETLAND and SHUT THEM DOWN!

  • Your story just brought tears to my eyes. Just 2 weeks ago I fell in love, and bought a beautifull Pom from a pet store. My Lexie died just 10 days after I bought her. They guessed it was parvo. I started looking online her breeder info, Hunte. I couldnt believe my eyes. Be happy cause unlike me, you were able to save Dingle. My Lexie died just when she started to receive some real love.

  • that sucks hes a puppy mill dog , but hes the love of your life too. So if i were you i'd feel guilty , cause his spot was replaced , but you saved him and he'll always cherice your empathy

  • I'm glad that I have Dingle and I would never give him up... I just wish that he never came from (and therefore I supported) a puppy mill

  • you wish you never bought dinglehopper? he's beautiful! be happy that you saved a dogs life

  • she didn't say that she wishes she ever bought him, she said that she feels guilty for contributing to a horrible business. she loves her dog regardless, she doesn't resent him.

  • Hey ... You gave love 7 you got love. As far as the Pet store or the Mill ?? The are coming to a close. But the love you and your fur baby will live on !! I just adopted a puppy mill pom. We have some things to overcome. But how rewarding to feel I have gained the trust of this frightful soul.

  • I just stumbed on this I looked up The Hunte Corp. The bad thing is I worked at the Hunte corp. I was a vet tech then became a supervisor in the hospital. You don't really want to know what goes on there. It is sad and I am happy I got out of there. I worked there cause I love animals. I could give you so many name's of people that work there still and there e-mail it is sad that they buy from puppy mills. I tried to turn one lady in and they never did a thing. Good video.

  • Kudos to you...do not feel guilty - look at the reason you got him. Had someone else bought him, rather than pay for his operation, they may have put him down or dropped him off in a rural area. You saved him.

BTW...I'm a cat person and always get my pets at the SPCA or rescue society :)

  • You did an awesome thing and dinglehopper is lucky to have found you. I hate to see the puppies in the stores. I want to open the cages and let them all free, it makes my stomach turn. I hope some day there will be no more puppies or kittens in pet stores.

  • GOOD for you! the world needs more people like you speaking out for those who don't speak for themselves. DAMN pet stores that still sell pets. in addition: Beware of other major chains that don't sell dogs & can't but co-own other chains that do. One major one that starts with "S" rhimes with UPER and ends with Pet is one of them!
