I swear these trains are a rippoff from NYC's trains. Yes NYC has elevated tracks mostlynunderground though but it has plenty of elevated tracks in Brooklyn, Bronx and uptown Manhattan you guys should YouTube it.
Once you pan north at the 10 second mark, you can see Trump Tower under construction straight ahead. I love the views from the overhead crosswalks on the Wabash stretch of the L. The built environment is fantastic!
I worked in downtown Chicago in 1962. I was a 16 year old high school dropout from a small town in Western PA. I worked for the Huey Printing Company, a few doors south of Madison on Wabash. I delivered blueprints throughout the Loop.......best job a kid could have! I spent many nights riding the "El", just for the fun of it........loved that time in my life!! Anyone around from that time......search Buss Cravener on FB.

I'm from Chicago, living in Atlanta. Public transportation sucks here. It's over priced and lousy. Watching this video is making me homesick.

El Trains like this would be very nice in Midtown Manhattan.

Does New York have elevated tracks?

Yes. In Uptown Manhattan (Broadway and Park Av.), Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn. In downtown and midtown, the tracks are underground.
