But what i mean sir is it's erap's fault of overusing the F-5 on his campaign and not providing it upgrade kits. So during Gloria's term the Air Force has no choice to retire it because of its low serviceability. So i think it is not Gloria to blame.

If some of you think that poor and overpopulated countries like India are weak, then you're wrong.They have advanced Aircraft for air-to-air battles and for bombing missions so why not use the militaries project for some units like f-15'sf-16's or even Rafale fighters and upgrade the unused f-5's that are still in good flying conditions So president Aquino, if you are reading this. Consider this please!

@BujoySeth unfortunately sir. We have a very little chance. We still have 2 operational AS-211 warrior which can be armed with with 2 air to air sidewinder missile. I will give you an example sir. A F-18 jet of USMC has been locked on by an AS-211 on training in BALIKATAN. So it depends on the pilot. I will consider that a Lucky Shot if that happens.

and complete 350 rounds in a year.. another $50 million for 1 year gas.

If budget was raised to 3% there will be a very big difference.. it won't even hurt the other sectors.

Any ideas or suggestion in the aircrafts ? Forget about the stealth.

about helicopters.. we need a cheap but agile chopper.. and silent type.. like the MD-500s or 530s

just invest on SAM's that can shoot stealth. buying fighters without stealth is useless

Aha.. Vietnam has a strong military.. but here is the draw back.. the health care is not very good.

its half of that of ours.. and there are many places in Vietnam w/o any hospital nor concrete structures.

aside from having many assets and 420,000 troops.. 1200 tanks.. and APCs.. missile ships.. submarines

SAMs and more than 500 Aircrafts.

Philippines in turn has a better service sector.. but poverty is 2x higher compared to Vietnam

because of lack of socalist ideals.

$2 billion is not even enough para pasweldohan ng average of P25,000 ang AFP soldier sa isang buwan

kulang pa ang $1 billion para mabigyan ang average soldier ng P9000 kada buwan.. kase may iba pang maintenance.. $3 billion is what AFP needs.. to be descent fighting ASEAN force.. atleast $3 billion

sa Police naman 500 Baht ang minimum.. more than 600 pesos yon.

Sa USA naman ang police isa sa mga mataas na sahod.. ang teacher ata sa US $2500+/month

ang police naman nasa $3000.. ang SWAT $4000.. ung mga marines sa Iraq $6000

actually current PAF assets are not really that junk.. if there is proper funding.

F-5.. S.211.. MD-530.. are quite still good..

even Thailand and Malaysia.. even Indonesia operates around 10 F-5E

however.. PAF did a really bad choice about F-5A..

10 F-5E.. is better than having 30 F-5A..
