the rest of the word (except Somalia) have signed, they are all parenting their children...actually there is component that protects children to be raised by their parents as seen fit....also, there are things in the convention that the US does not have in law that children are to recieve highest attainable healthcare, children would also not be allowed to be on death row, something that is possible in the US, neither of these things I would argue would infringe on a parent's right...
