  • @alexeykh It's just a TV doc...not a heavyweight piece of academic research. How would you have done it differently?

  • @cuntylishus I think I meant that it was really disorganized. The title is "the Sound of the North" and you get all the fashion BS & talk about the bathroom of some nightclub.

  • Is this documentary deliberately about the lame side of Manchester? That Northside band is embarrassing...

  • anyone know what the must-have brand of chukkas were back then?

  • Afleck Palace was the coolest place on the planet at the tim eof this show.

  • your an idiot. hes referring to the fact that he rebelled from the established conservatism of jewish orthodozy, thus much of his criticism of jewish religious officials in the new testament. his referring to the concept of him being the 1st radical

  • was joe bloggs from burnley?

  • Shami Ahmed who started Joe Bloggs was born in Pakistan but moved to Burnley with his family when he was young.

  • thanx for the heads up.........so r u in the industry?....how do u know about bloggs? plz respond

  • Knew a bit as Joe Bloggs was always in the local press at the time but double-checked my facts on Wikipedia.

  • I started watching this thinking it would be about Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, instead it's loaded with this crap band Northside. Too bad E couldn't make them play any better.

  • It's called an alternative viewpoint, rather than being about the same bands who've been documented a million times over elsewhere.

I'm not a fan of Northside, but it's still great to have young bands talking about getting together and just enjoying music. The industry goons are a different matter. And the self-important guys talking about 'concepts'.

  • "E: it can make white men dance."

That was when they were 20 quid a pop.

Worth it for hamburgers, biscuits, new yorkers etc...

  • Hmmm.. white cali's

  • the track at 220 is 808 state ancodia its the first track on the ninety album

  • Anyone know what the track is, that comes in at 2:20 ?

  • @TraumPolizei Its Magical Dream by 808 state on the Ninety album.

  • No ones mentioned the old disco biscuits. 20 quid a time....Crims got involved and behind the peace on the dancefloor people were killing each other.........

  • I agree. Northside is really terrible. Not a coincidence that they're not a band that really are considered one of the Manchester greats.

  • Northside are horrible.

  • CATON !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jesus, the original james dean :D

  • Check out Ron Jeremy at 2:01...
