Non-bumi PRIVATE company has the right to put anybody in the Board of Directors. They have the 100% right to put an Orang Utan as their CEO if they want to. That is what PRIVATE companies means. PRIVATE means independent from the government. GLCs however are have the advantages in licenses and winning tenders/projects from Government (Rakyat money). So GLCs have to be fair and 1Msia in policy. So Khairy's excuse of non-bumi companies hiring only non-bumis is BULLSHIT!

@mikerajen16 When language requirement is stated usually it's bcoz the potential employee is required to deal with customers from India or China. That is very common. Don't conveniently shout RACISM just bcoz Malay race are not required to study other language other than Malay and English. Moreso, I have seen private Indian company that was looking for a candidate whom speak Arabic for their project in Dubai or Middle East.

PRIVATE / FAMILY owned companies are built from ground up and PRIVATELY funded. Remember GLCs are sponsored by Malaysian TAX money contributed by ALL races. And as government whom want to seriously promote Multi-racial corporation should had lead by example.

Civil servants and GLCs are funded by tax money or the Rakyat's money. Hence, it much be mutually beneficial to the Rakyat of ALL races. But private companies can choose their CEOs base on race or merit is up to them. NOT for Khairy or the ANY government or parties to question.
