I have lived in So Calif since '73. Things were great. I was a freshman in H.S. and Vietnam, Jimmy Carter, Nixon or Watergate were not on my radar. I couldn't even vote. NYC had its problems but it prevailed. Its one of my favorite cities to visit. Oscar and Felix didnt seem rich to me. They both always seemed broke. I live 1 mile from the beach and am far from rich. bought in when things were cheaper (for here).
This was my favorite show in the 70s. LOL! That JP Morgan lady has a lot of the 70s cliches at one time! Tight bell-bottomed pantsuit, Joan-Jett style haircut and those big eyeglasses. Takes me back to my teen years. The 70s were such a great time. A lot less uptight and no PC bullshit yet.
Felix at his most obnoxious. He's in the audience, and does all he can to upstage the singer onstage. If I were Oscar, I'd hold him just so Jaye P. could punch him in the mouth.
@ruleta74835 Yes it is edited, Felix paid a complement to Jaye P. and she replied "my pleasure" and then Felix made a Kate Smith reference to Jaye P...which in the edited version makes his 2nd comment about Kate Smith and her interpreting God Bless America seem out of place. Not the OP's fault though, all stations that aired Odd Couple had different syndicated edited versions
I couldn't really appreciate Tony Randall 's Felix when I was a kid watching this on reruns. Now as an adult I can see he's a genius. Love him as Felix!
SO GREAT!

This always cracked me up. That was some great acting Tony did at the table scene. I love Oscars face when he's on stage playing the tambourine...LOL

Is this edited? Didn't Felix speak when she asked them to stand to take credit for the song? I love him here...so neurotic. :)

Felix Unger, the character, is immortal. Only Tony Randall could have played this guy.
