  • Did they ever find them?

  • @KassyGO no they nver found their body's still to this day

  • poor souls I hope it was quick for them

  • you all dont know what familys been thru here. not only alcohol is involved. so watch wat u say before u speak!

  • these people are fked up...they dont know sht. they only come to comment us eskimos and natives. come to live rich and selfish! fkin kassasqs come to take our sht! yeah we all eskimos drink you fk head...you aint no shit! so dont try come to alaska knowning everything! if u think that u can head back to where ur mama had u!

  • @maukon03 ummm not everybody is native in Alaska ritard....some of us are white and live in big cities like Fairbanks, Anchorage, Juneau, etc. So stop acting like everybody who lives in the state is native and wasn't born here......FAIL.....!!!

  • OMG! those who are talking SHIT about this, shut up! this stuff is serious and did you guys ever think that you people might be hurting those loved ones? i dont think so

  • if you "Anchorage" people think and know about what life is like in the village,...OH wait! you don't.. have you even ever been to a village?? try and live in a village with less then the population of 800... not every accident is caused by alcohol... so called "smart asses".. esp kassaqs... elissanruteknilggular... annoying

  • I've lived in Alaska all my life and never seen anything like this. The true Alaskans you never hear from because they don't have internet connections.

  • They are not natives. They are eskimos

  • So i dont think the teens were drunk. Im a teen living in rural alaska and usually when i see open water I like to drive through with my snowmachine. haha call me crazy but its just a thing teens usually do. These two tho. Maybe they were water skipping or maybe there was a snowstorm. You seen how the river looked with just a little wind. That snow moves across the ice making a blanket, that still move over open water. Trust me i know. Not trying to start an argument just upset at the comments

  • @miisaq hi miiz kasiglurmitun?

  • I would bet my life savings that these idiots were nothing but drunk idiots.

  • @Macs83ak <-- ur an idiot. at least our children dont go missing or kidnapped. in cities...babies thrown in the dumpsters, drug addicts on EVERY corner. dont see why u got negetive comments bout the villages. in the villages were one community and we HELP eachother out. and we are born and raised in Alaska, unlike u.

  • @maukon03 First you fucking moron I WAS born and raised in Anchorage. Second, no there are not drug addicts on every corner, it is a fucking DRUNK NATIVE just begging for liquor money. Every single corner has a native begging. Its fucking ridiculous.

  • There are 2 small towns near this open water on the Yukon River. St.Marys which is the population of about 500 & Pitkas Point a population about 150. These 2 towns are only couple miles from each other & this open water is in between them. The people of Pitkas Point have to travel to St.Marys for there grocery store. Every year there is open water on about the same spot with currents strong enough to pull you under even if you had a life vest on. I wish theyd build a fence every winter around it

  • Okay I live in Anchorage too and I'm sorry but the village is totally different. Anchorage is a city conected to a main highway system that is maintained by the state. the villages have no way in or out except by plane. So Macs83ak you need to just stay ofline when your drunk. And thank you for taking a cab.

  • Yes, they have plenty of ways out. I am a Land Surveyor and have seen many villages that have done nothing but harm to themselves. Can you honestly say that the STATE does NOT fund these Native villages?? These native corporations pump millions and millions of dollars into these villages just so they can survive.

  • A wind chill factor making it -30 is not a big deal. That is pretty normal. I am from alaska.

  • It happens not infrequently in ND too

  • Some company has to make a better reliable snow vehicle for mostly frozen countries or states of america

  • just so you guys know this is one of many many remote villages in Alaska. Snowmobiles are usually the main form of transportation, but not in the bigger cities.. Also, alcohol is a HUGE problem in the villages.. so put the two together, and most likely these are drunk teens on snowmobiles who lost their way..

  • I live in Anchorage, Alaska...and thats why we take a cab coming home shitfaced from KOOTS. If the cabbie puts me in a river taking me from Spenard to Turnagain...I'm gonna be fucking pissed!! LOL

  • Maybe you can start a cab business in the remote villages and keep it running day and night.

  • Wow, that many? Thats like two or more a day! And so many are volunteers. God bless them all. Must be such a hard thing to do, on so many levels.

  • aw, that sux :/

    ...

Haha. My uncle bought me a snow machine like the yellow one at 2:04 ...

  • Are you serious? Were have you been all your life? I wonder if there are different ethnic groups from where you come from?

  • An insane amount of work re-digging those holes each morning. Those people are tough.

  • This is what we do in order to go ice fishing so we can have food in the winter. After all that hard work picking the ice, it is well worth it. Catching all that if is FUN and tasty too.

  • really sad .

  • Sad, but maybe they should have known better than to run snowmobiles on a frozen river...The currents stir up air and make thin spots...

  • Have you watched Ice Road? The river is the MAIN road summer and winter between villages

  • How very sad....

  • its a less of a chance that the teens will survive in cold water that deep

  • GOD BLESS YOU

  • I'd hate to live there.

  • haha lived here 3 years.. it sucks.. the winters are terrible..

  • I bet they are. lol.

  • We don't have a problem with our kids being kidnapped because the only way in or out of here is by plane unless they travel the river. Thats one PLUS than living in a city.

  • Booo ads. PC really wants their customers back :P

  • poor kids

  • I woulda stayed put during that storm!

  • hell dude your mom said you need gloves to get an ice pop from freezer lol

  • Teens + Alaska = Shouldnt happen

  • Teen + alaska =polar bear porn

  • LMFAO!! omg thanx i needed 2 c a funny comment soo bad!! Haha

  • alaskans eat nails for breakfast..with no milk.

  • WTF?! I live in Anchorage, Alaska and we DO NOT eat nails for breakfast

  • i live in north pole.. this is sooo wierd :S lol

  • I went to NP high, lived there many years

  • It was a joke. I was implying Alaskans are tough...

  • LOL! that is very true. why can't it be developed, beautiful and civilized? like an american version of norway. fuck alaska. we should give it to canada or russia, it's not even connected to the contiguous united states.

  • >:0 hey I live in Alaska...

  • AND WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAWAII WOULD BE?

  • Klondike divorce: A married couple go on a boat trip in Alaska and only 1 comes back.

  • Why do I never hear of the alaskan jokes? i lived there..

  • heartbreaking

  • alaska is badass but I bet I could survive out in the wilderness for months with a 10" bowie knife even without my shirt on

  • alright I'd like to see you try be sure to record it and put it on youtube [If] you survive

  • ok. your out in the middle of the alaskan forest and you realize you are very lost. all u have is a 10 inch bowie knife. and keep your shirt on lol. what is the first thing you do?

  • made me laugh quite a bit.

  • What an awful way to die.

  • this is so sad.

  • Yeah fuck you too man.

  • Maybe its on NG because we have careless people like you who thinks of no one but themself and should know more about these people. Its good that that NG is giving the native some sort of attention. The native are people that we all need to care about because remember that this land that us americans are on were theirs first, this is a fact that we cant ignor.

  • ...they're fucked...

  • why wouldnt they just go back on the ic instead of having a party in the water

    unless it was a suicide

  • You fucking idiot, they broke the ice when they crossed over it. It means it was a thin ice part.

  • No, there is an OPEN HOLE here all winter long. The current is so strong here it doesn't freeze in this ONE PARTICULAR spot.

  • ..possibly the worst state to get lost in

  • possibly?

  • No shit.

  • everybody's disappearing....

  • Is this a common occurence in Alaska? Or is this just as common as any missing perosons cases?

I imagined in my head that traveling over the frozen waters is common that time of year but now I'm thinking only a few people risk it....

  • Almost everyone travels on the river. Most everyone knows where the open holes are. But then there are some that doesn't know the area. But in this case there was a blizzard and couldn't see

  • 3 min video with a ad? bogus

  • for the families i guess. I mean, how would you like it if your kid was never found, and you never knew what happened to him?

  • They look to give the family comfort.

  • ugh they wanna see there kids dead, waterlogged bodies?

  • So the families can have some closure perhaps? If your parents were lost and you didn't know what happened to them, wouldn't you want to have answers and something to bury?

  • well perhaps they need to get over it because i highly doubt that the parents want to see their dead kids fucked up bodies

  • I have a strange suspicion that if you were in their position you wouldn't be spouting such a fowl opinion.

  • Yep, you're probably right. You would know, you're the one sitting on YouTube posting offensive comments just to get attention.

  • Wouldn't the parents feel unsettling if they're not even sure if their kids are dead or alive?

  • the tracks abruptly ended right where the water was. They're dead. Fell through the ice for sure.

  • how else would they be alive?

  • sleeping

  • There's a family that was stranded in the ocean for 38 days until they were rescued. Their emergency food lasted them 3 days. Still, they didn't die. So, what makes you so sure that the teens fell into the ice? Even if they did, there's still a chance of surviving.

  • im so sure that they fell into the ice because THERE WERE VISIBLE TRACKS LEADING TO THE WATER god damn did you even watch the video? and how the hell can somebody last 35 days without food?

  • Believe it or not, what I told you is true.

  • you keep beleiving that....id love to see you last 35 DAYS WITHOUT FOOD

  • I never said they survived without food for 35 days, so stop going into conclusion. They fished for food, and drank turtle blood to survive. Plus, why are you so negative? I'm sure if you were in that situation, you would die of panic before you would get rescued. Such a person like you won't make it.

  • you need water to survive derrr....and how do you know i wouldnt survive you dont know me mrs ching chang chong

  • How do I know you won't survive? Well...

    1. You're negative.

    2. You like to argue with people and trying miserably to make your point. therefore, you can't make important decisions.

    3. Your lack of intelligence was shown when you typed "ching chang chong"

  • @Ngelcanfly why dont everyone stop the negative talk and juss chill if some1 is lost or stranded in our wilderness we will try to find them it is sad to loose a human thats why we the volunteers risk our lives going out on search and rescue missions so stop arguing over the internet its like retarded

  • Oh, your family must be so proud of you .. epic fail, dogg

  • Closure.

Would you rather have a grave you can visit a loved one or keep thinking about him/her being in that river never to be found?

  • Stupid, that's their family. Would you look for your mom's dead body or would you just guess that she's dead without knowing for sure.

Sometimes people are alive or were kidnapped, you never know until you find proof.

  • Aw, ignorance is bliss.

  • You further prove my point.

  • So sad :(

  • The Fourth kind!

  • Oh gosh, how awful. I hope those weren't they're tracks. They must've fallen in because they couldn't see the water in the dark. I hope they're found so they can have a proper burial.

  • Sad video - not even a bittersweet ending. Just kinda . . . ends without success of any sort. :/

Sympathies to the families and respect for the volunteers out there searching for the bodies.

  • Welcome to Life!

  • One man's missing teens are another wolf's dinner.

  • Get ad block plus for firefox :D

  • My condolences to the families.

my condolences to the family and friends

  • What a God forsaken place to live, ugh.

  • I used to live in Alaska. Shows like this make AK look a lot more primitive than it actually is. Yes, it is small, but we did not live in igloos and such.

If you ever been to Canada, it is a lot like that. Except smaller and colder.

  • To me, it looks as remote and unappealing as the dark side of the Moon, just not my thing, I prefer the beach and the Sun. I guess it depends on where you grow up.

  • Exactly. The beaches and the sun are nice and all, but I am a northboy, haha. I have been to Arizona and California and such. Incredibly hot. I was sweating beads 24/7.

I prefer the cold places. I guess you said it best, depends on where you grow up.

  • It's that hot, because you're simply acclimated to colder weather.

  • Of course, there are exceptions; my cousin was born and grew up in Miami and has lived in AK for about 30 plus years now, wouldn't live anywhere else.

  • my friend wants to live in Alaska and be a wolf breeder

  • wow ur a fucking douchebag

  • no, what you meant to say was that you like penis.

  • @Gamesrock22 LOL.

  • they should leave the hooks there as a reminder to people. maybe people would be more careful then.
