I love all the MGM lions, but I think Jackie is by far my favourite. He was such a gorgeous-looking lion, plus him appearing at the beginning of The Wizard of Oz also helps! Slats looked really sweet too, and the 1956 - 1957 one looked adorably like a pomeranian IMO. :P

I didn't realize there had been an earlier film version of Ben-Hur until I bought the four-disc edition, so it shouldn't have surprised me to see an earlier MGM lion at its beginning.
