Notice how it's just them playing, no stupid video cliches. No cut away shots of models/females/video-ho's mugging for the camera. Sure they're lip-synching but I'll allow it, just for that. That's what always set them apart from other L.A. bands for me - they had class that the rest just didn't seem to understand at all. I wrote to them once using the record company's address on the back of the album and Rick Parker wrote back! Love them.
Thanks for this! I am a fan of Rick's Mother-Lara Parker from Dark Shadows and got turned on to Rick through that and I STILL have the CD's in my car and listen to them frequently! He's still a fox!
I saw them in Houston, TX in 1988(?)at Rockefeller's. A good friend of mine worked the door and she got us in for free. I bought their album the next and played it for the rest of the year. Thanks for the post.
do have any mp3's from velvet kiss , lick of the lime ??? i have it on lp somewhere I think ... always really liked that record but can't find it anywhere on cd ..... Lions and ghosts had a great flow about there vocal melodies ... I haven't heard this song since mid eighties ... I was thinking about them because I was reading a book on Jane's Addiction and i think Rick Parker lived at the wilton house with Perry for a minute ...anyway ... reply to me about the mp3s when u can ...thanks
The words are trying so hard to be clever !! I got the CD on Amazon as well ... both this one and the 2nd one with Mr. Blue Sky.
And now one of these guys is married to Lisa Marie Presley.

L&G played a co-bill @ The Roxy around `87 with Guns and Roses. So who had the top hat first??? Rick or Slash?

Awesome video! Did they make videos for the follow up LP Wild Garden? I think I might recall a clip for Arson In Toyland. Would love to see that.
