This is an AK-74M

AK varients all have the same safety with exception to the polish tantal.

AK 74's shoots 5.45x39 NOT 5.56 NATO.

The AK-106 is chambered for the NATO round.

The AK-47,AKM, and sone of the newer ones are chambered for 7.62x39

The AK-74,74M,74U,74S and some of the 100x series are chambered for 5.45
