Ahh... those vintage racers were amazing, it was an special time, when tires were skinny and drivers fat. Thanks so much for paying tribute to those guys whose oil stainned faces smiled at us at the end of the race.
I really liked this years indy 500, so full of drama, unexpected results. What an amazing event put up by the drivers and their teams. I wouln't have missed it for anything!!
It would have been cool to see JR win the race, but I think Dan Wheldon is a deserving winner as well. He is one of the most personable people I have ever met and this sport is not just what you do on the track, but also what you do off the track.

@nickforthetitle - yes, there are 800 turns in a 500 mile race at Indy and you have to make them all...799 clearly doesn't win the race! I'm sure JR has learned that lesson and I'm sure we'll see him at Indy again next year.
