i gotta say triumph, manly for the reason, theres just to many damn gixxers out . an plus the triumph is way better looking, thin as hell. an unique i love it, defiantly prefer Daytona 675 over a gixxer 750. anybody that agrees thumbs up for me :D
shardoflard wtf are you talking about man this video compairs a suzuki to a triumph where did you pull honda from.. if we wanted to discuss lawn mowers we woulda asked
Ummmm, I enjoy riding my triumpth daytona 675 because it is fun? Guys honestly, find a bike you enjoy riding and ride it. Its all personal preference on how you want your bike to look/perform, some like a good midrange powerband and others want to thrash the shit out of thier bike. Like I said, your preference and riding style. Btw grow up.
@roberts684 Do u consider the Daytona 675 to be comfortable? I am looking for a sports bike and i have researching this bike for awhile. I currently ride a suzuki GS500f and looking for an upgrade. I am 6'6"
for a guy that tall I'm not too sure. I have it and I'm 5'10". There tail seems to be a bit taller therefore giving an aggressive forward lean. This can cause you to shift ur weight to your arms and eventually cause discomfort in the wrists. Unfortunately youre just a big guy with a heart for race replicas. I would let that stop you tho.
It does have an aggressive riding position that can put some strain on your wrists. Also the pegs are really high up so for your height it may pose a problem. You can find foot peg lowering kits to get some comfort in the legs.
@BigJon930 im 6'6" and own a daytona 675... its not exactly comfortable but you do get used to it! Ive taken it to europe before without to many issues and use it to commute on everyday... love it!! It depends how you ride the bike aswell. I tend to grip the tank with my knees more and take most of the weight off my wrists which helps alot. But best thing to do is book a test ride and see what you think :)
I'd take a 675 over the gixxer any day...main reason is that light weight and width of the bike combined with large amounts of torque which help alot when it comes to street riding. Don't get me wrong the 750 is an amazing bike and IMO one of the greatest ideas in the motorbike world, but it may just be me..I find the Daytona out performing the 750 in all categories, except possibly top end. But who needs to be cruising in the city over 175 anyways...
Triumph Daytona 675 is going to be my first speedbike :)....After I take bike courses first, lol. I've only rid dirt bikes in the past. Pretty much every bike in the range of whatever the Suzuki is in, owns it. Hondas, Yamahas, Kawasakis. They all pretty much own Suzuki.
mcromance1: you clearly know very little about sports bikes. Suzuki has been dominating in the 1000cc class for years. The only thing that is now finally beginning to fight back fiercely is the new CBR 1000RR... As for the 750, it is in a category all of its own. It can hang with 1000cc bikes, yet has the nimbleness of a 600. Before making a comment you pulled out of your rear, do yourself a favor and 1) Do some research. 2) Actually ride a few super sports... Before you open your pie hole
@hotchalupa last year yamaha won superbike... r1 as been raping ass for a long time... and the ducati actually have been owning everything for about 10 years now.
@hotchalupa a few months ago all the 1000ccs were tested and the GSXR placed dead last... BMWs 1000RR was first and the CBR1000RR was the best "jap" bike all the otheres were over 15k
There is the new hp2 sport from BMW(it is ducati-priced lol but certainly looks fucking awesome, also suspension is good, but power for its size and weight isn't fantastic.), and rumors of a BMW 4 cylinder sport bike...check it out :)
It may handle a little better because it is more flickable, but that is exactly why it isn't as "stable" and "forgiving". That is not to say it doesn't handle as well as the 750.

If the Suzuki doesn't have enough grunt down low you can always go down a tooth on the front sprocket.

Gotta love the Gixxer 750. It's a good compromise between a liter bike and a 600.

Actually if we are looking at facts, the new liter Kawi did beat the Honda in this years comparo. That engine is a monster.

busa? no way.

Busa what??? There was no mention of busa anywhere. I said the liter Kwacker beat the new Honda....
CBRboy1717 3 years ago 2
the 08 cbr had a way better overall rating. due to its dramatic weight droppage and the handling was way better. i drove one. it was nuts.

The D675 has 123 bhp, I have one and its hands down faster than a 750. The power isnt as torquey and pulls sooner than the Gixxer.
