Actualy the other sun on the side of mordor looks cooler because its like they conquered the world and its all in darkness and you are runing towards the sun :) Oh and BTW the rain makes the battle even more epic ;)

Also... SHOOTING! You don't fire arrows, because bows are not firearms.

And flaming arrows were historically not much use in pitched battle. You'd use them to signal to show your bowmen where to shoot, or to set buildings on fire. Directors like them though, because they look all shiny and mean.

@b37cox i foght the same battle, but mordor had better troops and they were spearmen and it was on hard and i won because the charge made a lot of units route. you should try it and see if you win.

How do you manage to win this? This was a very curious military strategy, charging cavalry headlong into spearmen. This doesn't seem to be wise, especially when the attack lacks unison. I'm sure your cavalry were very good and well equipped, but it seems unrealistic to expect to kill over 3700 enemy soldiers and only lost 300 yourself. If I had to guess, I would say you played this on an easy setting. I think against a human opponent, this strategy would have yielded disastrous results.

Hmm...Rohan one of weakest..sure..well atleast it's anti Harad..considering their one unti that costs under 1000 can take down easily a group of mumakil standing on side waiting for charge,meaning their riders with javelins..they kill group of mumakils that costs around 5000 in matter of minute if not less :)

I think roran is one of the two or three worst factions. Becouse they got almost no heavy troops. the worst faction is eriador or something.

Rohan surly has the best cavalry, but it is highly underpowered in Medieval Total War (nothing to do with mod, it's a problem with the game). As shown in the vid, the cavalry units are just too easily blocked. And the break-off-and-charge-again tactic doesnt seem to work very well . This vid surly provide a good example of how small no. of cavalry win over a great no. of orcs. But the orcs are really weak, and the battle will turn out differently if tolls are present (tolls are really badasses)

What are you talking about? Just give the cavalry bigger stats and they will charge trough miles of enemy infantry. lol. Medieval 2 has always had overpowered cavalry.
