@longview1987 its a Fender Stratocaster. He named it "Soul Power" as you can see. He has another stratocaster called "Arm the Homeless". I don't know how much you know about guitar electronics, but ill explain anyway. Soul Power has single-coil pickups as its typical with a stratocaster, whereas Arm the Homeless has humbucker pickups so it sounds a little more metal. any guitar with two humbuckers has a toggle that can be used as a killswitch. he added one to Soul power as a mod.

@zomgitzakitteh 1 To start off- because it just feels and sounds good- and you can't always analyse those sorts of things. Buuut I'll try.

Certain keys on guitar have certain easy chords/notes to reach I guess. For starters E and A are really big notes and chords in F# and are both really accessable.

Also, think about why E's so good. One of the (many) reasons is because it's so low you can just

With that in mind. F# the lowest comfortable "closed" position. E.g for a pentatonic. E is mainly open strings so it's a totally different feel to keys like F ,F#, Ab etc. But why not F? the first fret just isn't nice to barre or really to start any run from (on many guitars) whereas the second fret just doesn't have that issue.

@Muzikman127 The first fret for some reason is just weaker- I guess it's so close to the nut you just don't have much leverage. Vibrato, intonation etc. are just more difficult on the first fret

One thing I would argue it isn't so much is the key itself- it's more an instrumental thing. A guitar tuned to Eb will have that knocout sound,
