  • what about the stratum basale?

  • don't be hatin them sebaceous glands..they nasty little buggers if you get them pissed =\

  • in the sensory reception part. does the skin have the function to receive/perceive taste? lol

  • thank you this was very very helpful

  • thank you. This is a very useful video.

  • epidermis have 5 layers please update it

  • i think she just focused to the important layer of strata..

  • the name of muscle that is attached to the hair is called the arrector pilli, which cause the hair to stand when it is contracted, , especially in times of fear and frightened... and also, you failed to mention the CERUMeNOUS gland, which secrete cerumen or so called the EAR WAX,,, which protect the ear from any foreign objects... just adding some knowledge but this vid is great thank,, make more discussion, about the anatomy and physiology of human body.. thanks

  • the layer ,that is in our hands or palms, is so called the stratum lucidum

  • what about merocrine and apocrine sweat glands??

  • yeah right..5 layers not two lol

  • Umm she forgot to mention more layers of the epidermis besides the stratum corneum and the stratum germinativum.

From the surface to the bottom of the epidermis you have the corneum, lucidum, granulosum, spinosum, then you get to the germinativum.

  • ?? subcutaneous.. - what about "major blood vessels and nerves"??

and also the rest of the stratums..

  • what about stratum basale, stratum lucidum and stratum spinosum?!

  • 2 layers of epidermis? Is this for Junior High or something?

  • THANK YOU!

  • Great video just wanted to make you aware that epidermis is actually broken down into 5 layers which are, from superficial to deep, Stratum corneum, stratum lucidum, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum, and stratum basale. In thin skin, the stratum spinosum and the stratum basale are sometimes referred to as a single strata known as the stratum germinativium due to the fact that a limited amont of cell divsion takes place! GREAT vid!

  • thank you for explaining to her what she left out those layers are important as well.

  • Good job. Are you a professor or Assistant?

  • Thank You So Much for this wonderful lecture...

  • yes this helps So much. Thank you.
