Funny how people came out of the woods to bash Toyota when the Government said they had "Unintended Acceleration" problems. The same Government that owns GM recently said that their NASA engineers found no fault in the Toyota Throttle Systems. Instead, user error (pushing pedal instead of gas) and improperly placed floor mats were the culprit according to NASA. Where are the haters now?

Why the hell would anyone here in the U.S. want to actually try to turn off a car that is out of control, they shouldn't be subjected to that kind of manual labor!! That's too hard!! It means having to use your arm and hand to turn something off. Or reaching down to check or move a floor mat before you drive, that'll make you break a sweat!

I think, for US drivers Toyota has to stick a sign in each car "When your throttle sticks, you have to push the brake " .

not even the brake. it should just be a sign that reads "stupid people beware. If throttle sticks put the vehicle in Neutral and press on the brake" Plus its stupid since the throttle never got stuck. Its just the floor mat. Easy fix. TOYOTA RULES!!!

@onlycommercials actually that would result in loosing the power brakes and making the brakes not applying very well. The right way is

1)Shift to Neutral

2)Push the brakes and use the steering wheel to make a controlled stop

3)Turn off the engine

4)Go and fix your car :)

oh and make sure you keep your feet off the throttle ;D
