  • here are the lyrics. "I knew her since High school..... we were 17.... I was old enough to know..... she was old enough to dream......" good stuff brother.....

  • Always on my mind is SPOT ON!!!!!! you have a great ear for loverboy.

  • @patriot0u812 Actually it's not but it's a damn good try!

  • Great jam session!!!

  • Your tone sounds awesome

  • wow can you post a toturial for turn me loose???? good job

  • Very nice! I use a Les Paul into a GNX4 into a Peavey Valveking with KT66'ss, Tungsol 12ax7's in the pre and a military 12ax7 in the splitter stage. Any sound you want for cheap!

  • the gain is just to low.

  • Considering your screen name I'd say the gain is just right for me and that it's just not to your taste.

  • Thanks very much for showing us how loverboy is played. There are always some arm chair assholes that will bitch..Bowtome09!!!!

  • dude you're totally off on all of em, i've been teaching for 28 yrs and sorry but no way are you on the money

  • holy shit ur a god

  • Marginal... I've heard better.

  • Amazing! What amp/pedals are you using?

  • Just straight through a Behringer V-Amp pro with the emulated JCM800 Marshall and a EVH 78' cabinet.

  • hahaha shit i got the same guitar and a behringer gmx 212 v-tone

    good guitar playin btw.

You prove it's not the gear, it's the guitarist that makes the sound. If you're good enough, you can make sears guitars sound like magic. Check my new vid. I got sum strat action going of my own. Not as perfect as you though, just improv.

  • Dude, your guitar sounds awesome. What kind of rig and settings do you have going on. Keep on rockin' ! :)

  • The guitar itself is a DiMarzio Body (alder), Arbor Strat copy electronics with a Switchcraft switch and pots, Allparts Strat bridge, Squier Affinity Series neck & Tuners. In this vid I was running it straight into a Behringer V-Amp pro using the Brit-Hi Gain Amp Sim, and the EVH 78' Cabinet, and Big Room reverb for that quasi-live sound I was going for.

  • actually i gotta correct myself... I have a Squier Strat affinity. But it's stock. Nothing changed... I got it in some starter pack with a soft case and a fender 15g frontman amp.

  • Super cool riffs. You rule.

  • not quite Yngwie Malmsteen but not bad!!!

  • these are loverboy riffs not Yngwie Malmsteen riffs u dumb fucking asshole

  • Now why to you have to curse at me. It was a comparison. It was meant to be partly funny but mostly a compliment. wtf?

  • that was out of line im sry bout that

  • Paul Dean is fabulous, and you've got his stuff down pat, good for you! Dean's severaly underrated, and that's a shame. I'd take him over Eddie Van Halen anyday---and he's not an ass like Eddie is!

  • You have obviously done your homework on Dean's tone. It's sounds exactly like it. Is it because of what the body is made of that get's that tone? Can any strat get the same exact sound? And what are your main effects for that sound? I'm thinking obviously some gain and distortion, but I may missing one other key element. Tube screamer? Please respond. Love that tone.

  • not quite joe satriani but not bad!!

  • Sounds great... something didn't sound right though in Turn Me loose Maybe the way you were playing it. Nice sounding guitar. Very nice sounding guitar! Trade????

  • Very nice man!! great playing and You're tone kicks ass!!

Also, I agree Paul Dean is very underated

  • you Rock!

  • Awesome clean licks bro, you play Loverboy kick ass!

  • this is exactly why I bought my SG... so I could learn to play exactly stuff like this!

  • ur r realy good play the guitar

  • I like your sound and performance, very precise.

    Keep rock and rolling!

  • You're playing is totally awesome!!!! Are you sure you aren't really Paul Dean?! :o) Keep it up I really enjoyed listening to you play and jam!!!

  • nice guitar, only one tone and volume knob?

  • Yep, the middle tone control hole was used for a switch to get the neck+bridge and all three pickup on pickup combinations not normally availible.

  • Great job! In my opinion, sure beats a lot of the sh** I hear in this day and age!

  • Paul Dean from loverboy is a way under estimated riff writer. Your guitar sound is killer and you play great.

  • Well, not full guitars. They had a Mustang Copy in the early 80's as well that came as a kit. It could have 2 humbuckers, 2 single coils, and so fourth. The body I have is probably from the late 80's, I bought it with a Warmoth neck, mixed pickups, a Floyd Rose, all for $40 at a thrift shop, painted black badly.
