This is what Gadaffi was trying to do by joining the African Nations together and trade with black gold. It would have been a United Nations of Africa and the power elite in the western world want none of it.
@dystopiainmyhead get the fuck outta here you fucking fagget ass moronic asshole! Go in your corner with your propoganda and let thevreal smart people watch the legendary Malcolm X drop knowledge and speak truth...
Malcolm X was amazing, although it's somewhat ironic that he says "The ballet is more powerful than the bullet" and is then gunned down. Then again, I suppose in the end there was a civil rights revolution (although matters are still pretty shit).
@1L4MK proud of what? Obamas support for zionists? Obamas bailouts to the banks while poor blacks are stuck in poverty, obamas love of special intrest lobbies? Obamas wars on sovereign nations?
No way in hell would this great man support a fake sell out like obama
Yes at that time. Since 1945, there has been the same five permanent veto-wielding members of the UN. France, Britain, USA, USSR/Russia and China. The only change was when the US decided to recognize the People's Republic of China over Taiwan who previously held the UN seat. I am trying not to be racist but you people make me so mad. Grr :-(
My purpose for responding to you was not to get into a debate over the not so powerful UN or Malcolm X (who happens to be a world renowned critical thinker who's views although controversial were worthy of espousal at the worlds most elite educational institutions). What baffles me is that people think they are so smart but we all can learn something from someone. According to genetic studies---see next post
Africa is the most diverse continent on the planet b/c it is the most aged. Therefore, some of the darkest Africans are often closer geneticaly to a white person than a person of color on the same continent. When you say, "you people", it is unfortunate that you could very well be making disparaging remarks about someone who is closer to you geneticaly than Rush Limbaugh (or any other white person, assuming you are white) God bless :-)
Brother Malcolm is a Muslim, but he's an African one-hundred per cent.
Brother Malcolm taught us despite he is a Muslim and some of us are in other religions, we come together as a people and as a family of our own roots and culture.
It doesn't matter what religion we follow, we're an African people.
i agree. most religion only brings separation. separation is a divider that will only hold the human race back. we need a unified people, one that is completely blind of all races, colors, classes, and genders. 2012 better bring a fuckin revolution i swear.
We can build on the decisive efforts of cooperation between Africans and Asians hammered out at the 1955 Asian-African Conference held in Bandung. The need to recognize this still exists in today's world.
One last thing, and you can take this to the bank, is that I know for a fact that this so-called 'war on terror' will be used sometime in the very near future to undermine, and possibly kill, his message and his legacy. The revolution will not be televised.
I'm a big fan of Malcolm X, it's unfortunate that most of our people are scared to stand up and even mention his name and his legacy. What is keeping us down is that we agree to compromise, and Malcolm X was not ready nor willing to compromise to the establishment because he knew they were not, and are still not, sincere.
I think they don't want to associate with him because some of his ideas, like a lot of the so called radicals backed then, were actually really awful. Especially the whole don't cooperate with whites because that degrades your "Africa-ness" idea that he had, which was really just repackaged segragation.
I think he hit the nail on the head with this one, though it's worth pointing out that while they vote together, that bloc itself had very little de facto power and suffered from infighting.
What he was describing was the way the General Assembly work, and how poor nations have power there because of their number, for that one he has right. But when it comes to the Security Council, it's the 5 permanent members who have the final word on which resolutions will pass and which will be dropped.

@SirPwn4lot If you really dig into what he was saying and then you do your own research you will see why the ballot is as powerful as the bullet.
