  • @net43works Good Call... CD player went out in my truck and I busted out all my ancient Cassettes... This album hasn't left the deck in 4 months...

  • conscious rap

  • @dadabee38 its 2011, not the 1920's. Evolve your conciousness, awaken your awereness and see with an open mind and realise that the only one that suffers is you, the only one that sees wrong in love is you, anf if god put us in different parts of the world its so we could find each other - that's one kickass hide and seek game!

  • i love this song . i think we all ive seen a mr. wendal on a corner or a street never really paying attention to them. this is so poetic, and talks about people having less than others but making the best of what they have. love the beat and when the lady makes that noise and guy just goes mr. wendal, yeah

  • ahaa they played this at skol xP

  • The clandestine subterranean facilties should've aborted me @ age 40 with a "dollar" . But that's whole premise of secret Israeli human weapons activity in the U.S.. Take it to the limit, via synthetic telepathic/neuro-impulse weapons, and commit the egregious affronts to human dignity imaginable and see who cares and, well, kill them too. END ALL AID IMMEDIATELY TO ISRAEL

  • this is rap

  • my dad played arrested devolpment a lot when i was little and i STILL love them! they actually have real messages in their music :3

  • So wonderful.

  • I was only 7 when this song came out,but this was the first song I ever put in my first mixtape. The second was "Sadeness" by Enigma.

  • I use to be annoyed at this song ,but i like it a lot thanks Venture brothers

  • I remember when I was growing up, the Mr. Wendal's of the neighborhood told you stories and talked some sense into you. Now there are just alot of dirty old men who's looking to get the satisfaction of sex from a young girl, even boy. I miss the real Mr. Wendals from back in the day.

  • what has rap become these days? It is all the same bs chick with nice ass shoot a mother f**ker big rims. There is no talent. I would call this genre of music soul rap.. Good stuff. Peace from a white person to a black person. We are all brothers we just evolved different.

  • how can this be considered one of the worst rap songs of all time?

  • i first heard this song in guidance class and i love it. The faded heys in the backround are the best. And the scream at the beginning is the best

  • This song was in the top 10 in the world charts in 1993

  • Has this song ever had more meaning than now?

  • OMG!!!!! I remember singing this song with my sister when I was about 5 years old. This was our favorite song. We used to think it said MR. WINDOW!!!! LOL. What's crazy/cool is that the leader Speech and I go to the same church (Greater Atlanta Church of Christ)!!!! He's an awesome guy!

  • if mr wendal is so damn clever why is he a bum?

  • @softc There exists many geniuses that can't function in society.

  • @softc just keep listening dude....open your mind not just your ears

  • Great lyrics going straight to the heart, straight to the mind, awakening a social conscience, an intellectual sensation, somewhere in the realm of our being.

  • when hip hop was real and not just a cash cow.

  • What happened to these guys? Like where are they now?

  • speech always good, good man - good music;

    @voidblankz:

    whatsyourlanguage?

  • I heard this on a 90's greatest hits CD and never knew what the f it was unitl now!

  • I just came back from Iraq and it's unbelievable the 'racist' comments Americans make towards each other, it's a shame, a crying shame. No wonder other countries don't respect Americans, they only respect our resources.

  • @SOSHREWD WHAT .....THEY ONLY RESPECT YOUR RESOURCES ..LOL WAT THOSE STOLEN FROM OTHER COUTNRYS ????? HAHA OKKKKAY

  • @SOSHREWD i m not an american and i don't respect the whole uncle sam stuff...but i love revolurionary american hip hop songs...consious hip hop till i die...greetings from greece

  • @SOSHREWD

Im touched easily by humanity...but thanks homie..thanks for everything....

  • @SOSHREWD ye see you on vennice beach dog.

  • @SOSHREWD I agree with you about making racist comments but also remember the rights individuals have here that countries including Iraq do not even extend to women. I am a proud American and do not want the respect of countries who act in barbaric ways.

  • @SOSHREWD however ur serving ur country!! RESPECT!!

  • He died of aids 2 years ago

  • Heard this on the radio yesterday, Quality song!!

  • = )

  • dirtydancer0239239 .....too right....a time before Black turned into Niggas

  • DirtyDancer. Have to agree. These were not only acthy tunes, but hey had a positive message and story to tell. This is like periodic music. The had at least three incredible songs, Tennessee, Everyday People, and MR. Wendell, all just killer tunes. They would be relevent anytime, even today. In fact this music would rival 95% of the absolute junk that's on the radio today.

  • back when niggers could make music without talking abour crack

  • Makes me wonder how your racist cunts stumble across great music like this. Do you really just stumble across it or do you go searching for it? Either way you are a fucking CUNT.

  • You are right. They hate that they love this music. This is awesome.

  • this song is such an inspiration, they had a great message <3

  • We got to listen to this in music class a year ago this song is dope.

  • Thats hella real- I never looked at it like that but Im glad I was able to see this... Opened my mind

  • old skool classic

  • Brings me back.

  • 1991

  • 1992 actually, maybe even early 93

  • wat year did this come out?

  • ha ha wicked tune!!!! used to be back when i was 14 .....danm the life back then....big up A.D !!!!!!

  • this is some positive ass shit man yo iam 90's baby this my shit right here. chicago...

  • This song used to be played on 96.3 Jams in Detroit during the 90's. This is what I call real hip-hop. This is when rap artists had a story to tell. Now today's hip-hop artists talk about material things, sex, violence, bartenders, drinking, drugs, money and disrespecting women. The 90's was the decade of real hip-hop and R&B. I will always remember the 90's as long as I live.

  • that is so true thank you man

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 no sh!t man...this song came out when i was younger...miss songs like this

  • @LocalTVBuff1985

depends on where you get your music

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 Cheers!!!

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 wow..you couldnt have explained that any better

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 The truth is in your words!! How I remenber these years...!

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 -- Arrested Development was a singularly brilliant band of any genre, but you're right. Hip-hop today is all about the 3 Bs: bitches, bling and Bentleys. Boring.

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 So, so true.

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 No just the one on the radio like usual. We got alot of conscious hip hop artists still like Blacklious, The grouch and eligh, cyne, immortal technique, son of saturn, ATMA, macklemore, brotha ali, blue scholars, The crest, Sick sence, sick jacken, Simple, Gift Of gab, Secta 7, Lord medatron, Aesop rock, Tonedeff CunninLynguists, Dead celebrity status, Project wyze, Sandpeople, Jazz Addix, Glue, Lost Children Of Babylon, Serum, Presto, Canibus..... the list goes on!

  • @LocalTVBuff1985 I think the 90s was, musically, sorta like the 60s. Lots of good artist making lots of good music. music that actually has meaning.

  • I have been looking for this song for quite awhile. Thanks I love it

  • ...of course Mr Wendal now plays for FC Bordeux!

  • This brings back so many memories. I was a senior in high school when that song came out. Thanks

  • real talk, real music.

  • That screaming at the beginning just cracks me up!

  • FUCKING A-GOD-DAMN-MAZING!!!!!
