The Sec. of Treasury didn't pay his taxes because, "It was too confusing..." lol? This guy doesn't even know how to pay his taxes, and he's our Sec. of Treasury... lol... just retarded =\
Kudlow is an utter clown. He spent 2005-2007 rediculing the notion of a housing bubble - and now he attacks Steven Jobs, an true industrial all time great, for being sick with cancer??
Schiff criticizes Geitner for not paying income taxes, but the irony is that Schiff doesn't believe in the income tax himself. In fact, his father Irwin Schiff is a famous tax protester, and is currently in jail for tax evasion.
considering you dont need to pay it as a individual in America by the ruling. But after seeing Aaron Russo "Freedom to Facism" I would like to try it.
Peter also says that his father is on a futile (not his exact words) crusade and that he on the other hand does pay his taxes... Just because your father sexually abused you, does it mean that you are doing the same?
thats not irony. the man in charge of the treasury deserves all the grilling in the world if he doesnt understand the tax code. peter schiff being against taxes has a better leg to stand on in this arguement, DUCY?
Do you know the Definition of IRONY? One man's father refused to pay taxes out of principal because he feels NO ONE should be paying taxes. The other is a tax cheat who thinks its fine to get away with not paying some of his taxes while promoting policies that encourages the increased taxation of others!.
I mean fuck, when did you ever hear of Geitner being an ANTI-Tax advocate? That is what you call a hypocrite.
2012 Obama will convince the masses that Bush caused all the economic problems and the free market is also to blame, were going to have 8 years of Obama. MAYBE after then people will realize he and Bush are the problem and vote for a 3rd party.
I'm reminded of what I recently read (on the treadmill during lunch hour) in the conclusion to "America's Great Depression," Murray Rothbard, Third Edition 1975: "The guilt for the Great Depression must, at long last, be lifted from the shoulders of the free market economy, and placed where it properly belongs: at the doors of politicians, bureaucrats, and the mass of 'enlightened' economists. And in any other depression, past or future, the story will be the same."
Notice the kind of questions being put to Peter. They absolutely have no bearing from the standpoint of the crisis or the deep shit we are in. In guise of discussing what went wrong these talking heads further the agenda of the establishment by confusing people about all that is absolutely inconsequential to an average guy. Its like making it known to people the vital stats of an upcoming pop icon. Interesting?? Maybe. Fruitful?? Not at all. Distraction?? Absolutely.
Thomas Edison an icon?! Well, perhaps from an immoral and unethical point of view.
He stole and patented many of Nicola Tesla's ideas and worked with the government to suppress some of Tesla's inventions that would liberate society away from central governance.
There are many recordings of these issues on Youtube.
The whole issue is whether a CEO can misrepresent the condition of a company, or in this case its leader, one minute, while on the backside the company is entering bankruptcy or some other scenario.
This has recently become an issue with large financial institutions where CEOs etc. have essentially tried to calm investor fears by making positive comments that have no foundation.
Whether Jobs does it about his health or banks do it about their financial strength, it's really the same thing

Why is everyone jumping on me? I like Peter. I wasn't criticizing him. I was just a bit surprised, by his remarks.
