  • By far this is thee best xj exhaust clip I've seen yet... You have convinced me.. BUT!!?? Does it have a catalytic converter still???

  • Sounds nice. I took a super 40 muffler and put it on stock exhaust and it sounds good but not so loud that cops get mad.... Man

    People on

YouTube are retards. Reading all the comments pisses me off and they're not even

    Talking to me lol.

  • jeeps are SO torquey its fucking awesome ! sounds great dude

    O|||||O

  • exuse me, his tacoma does it

  • @Grud78 its called condensation, maybe cause its cold out, dumbshit!

  • @Grud78 dude both jeeps ive had do that when its cold, same as my uncles, brothers, and my both friends who have jeeps, my dads 08 tacoma fucking doesnt, fucking idiot

  • where did you get the D shackle for the trailer hitch???????

  • @jeepdrummer1 quadratec

  • is that with just the flowmaster muffler??

  • @jeepdrummer1 super 40, magnaflow cat, and 2.5" pipe

  • how is it during normal driving?

  • Which is louder, the super 40 or the super 44? I want the loudest mufflers possible by Flowmaster on my K5 Blazer.. Thanks!!

  • @tharrington11 hey. you hafta go research. the 44 is aquieter version of 40. i have a40 on my xj and it isn't as loud as you would think. i def say that a V8 is louder no holds barred. CUZ STONE COLD SAYS SO!!!

  • @jackassbrew you hafta research what?... That the flowmaster website says the 44 is louder than the 40?......

  • @m1brett No. A 40 is definitely louder than a44. I just said a 40 isn't as loud as you might think on a 4.0L motor.A straight 6 motor isn't that loud due to design, inherently. A V-6 or a V-8 would certainly be louder.

  • flowmasters+jeep+mud=a damn good time

  • sweeeeet

  • Would the Flowmaster 40, just the muffler, fit on a '99 Cherokee sport? I looked it up, and it only goes up to '98.

  • yes it will, get center inlet/offset outlet

  • dont do a glass pack there cheep ya and easy to get but even if you got a 4.0 it will kinda sound like a fart can or a import with the huge mufflers on it go with magnaflow borla or flowmaster

  • i know it will sort of but think of it this way its the best you can get for an Inline 6 i mean listen to that sound in this video. and theres another one that sounded just as good i think im going to go with flowmaster 40 series it sounded great on a 2000 jeep i saw one vid of one it was great. thanks though.

  • took the words right out of my mouth...

  • Sounds awesome!

  • mines a 05 wrangler i think there 2.25 inch pipe but, i am drilling the cat to improve gas mileage and airflow

  • Get a good high flow cat. Don't drill or punch the guts out or remove it. A good high flow will give some hp and keep the air cleaner. We don't need to give the greenies anything more to shut us down!!!

  • really stupid question i know the answer i think practically is this Jeep a V8 or is it an Inline 6? only reason i ask is because i have a 2000 Cherokee inline 6 and want to make it sound more like a V8 i think ill stick with the Flowmaster 40 series though its got a nice tone.

  • I-6 the Jeep Cherokee XJ never came with a V8.

  • i know the newer ones did like the grand cherokee. thats what i thought a couple of people said the Cherokee was a V8 (the 2000 and 97 cherokee, etc.) but i didnt think it was. cool though anything else you did to the Jeep to make it sound like that, or just the Flowmaster? if so, awesome cause mines an I-6 too i might buy this muffler.

  • Grand Cherokee (ZJ) is totally different than the Cherokee (XJ). I got a Magnaflow high flow cat and 2 1/2" pipe cat back.

  • Comment removed

  • would be nice if they did haha

  • If you want the straight 6 to sound like a v8 definatly stay with flowmasters. Flowmasters will surely get you a v8 sound.

  • you will never really get it to sound like a v8 cause its not a v8. it will have its own sound.

  • haha i mean like it sounds muscly with a lower tone than usual. Sounds badass that's what i like about this pipe also really want a V8 car.

  • @birdman802 if you haave the dough you can drop a v8 in a cherokee.... I heard the 5.9 LTD V8 out of a grand cherokee will line up in an XJ. That would scoot your ass around from here to there! I have a 2001 XJ and a buddy of mine has the 5.9 and boy he drives it like a sports car and it gets up!

  • @m1brett idk if i want my cherokee to be v8 though. im quite happy with its I6. Plenty of power and better mileage. Although, I am thinking about a Chevy Silverado with a V8.

  • dito

  • @svmetalman09 very true. but you can get them to sound somewhat simiar to supras. found that out when i was boucing the beater jeep off the limiter.

  • @svmetalman09 if u split the manifold and tru duel it then it gets real close

  • @motorguro and what would be the point in doing that on a I-6? my Jeep is not a V8.

  • sounds great , did u take ur cat off or leave it on ,, i heard it messes up stuff if u take them off plz write me bak i need to no buying a flowmaster for my jeep soon and dont no if i should leave it or cut it off ??

  • no, got a Magnaflow high flow cat. Dont ever just cut your cat off and leave it off, not only does it cause more pollution in our air but it really dont help HP that much.

  • lion king

  • What size muffler did you go with ? offset/offset or center/center ?

  • 2 1/2" pipe center inlet/offset outlet is what ya need

  • is that a 4 or six cylinder?

  • 4.0 in-line 6

  • Does anyone knwo where online to find dual flowmaster exhaust for a 99 jeep cherokee sport...i found dual gibson but i found a video of a 90 xj with dual flows and ive always wanted flowmasters..

  • summit has a single in dual out flowmaster

  • wow, nice

  • do you have the cat on there or a straight pipe/gutted cat?

  • wow nevermind i didn't even see the other comments about the high flow cat. sounds nice

  • 1st class jeep! 5 stars

  • thank you

  • i thought the super series were supposed to be quieter in the cab?

  • they are, but not outside

  • i heard the 44 is the same as the super 40 just smaller package for tighter spaces

  • they are but they sound kinda different, i have this same jeep with a 44 and its deeper than this

  • nice. i have a 96 xj i'm lookin to do the exhaust on. i take it out on the trails a lot so would i be better off with a super 40 or 44? or is there even that much of a difference between the two as far as performance goes?

  • 44 is just louder, i have heard them before and i just don't like the sound of them. i would go with the Super 40

  • nice, i just got mine done today and i love it, i think it might need some breaking in, with the magnaflow cat, did you notice any improvements in mileage after you got it done?

  • this vid was taken about a week after putting it on. now about a year later it is deeper and little more raspy

  • ya ours sound almost identical, did you have a funny smell when you first got it put on? im guessing this is from the new cat and my check engine light is on, did that also happen to you?

  • funny smell is normal, but CEL is not

  • o well the smell is going away and the CEL turned off for a while, im guessing its just the o2 sesor getting used to everything

  • actually what happens is theres a small amount of oil in the new cat from the manufacturing process and it gets on the o2 sensor and damages it, so ur better off just leaving the o2 sensor out for the first few days when u replace the cat.

  • is that with or without a cat?

  • Maganaflow high flow cat
