  • I USED to LOVE this SONG! The rap at the end is GREAT!!! LOL!!!!

  • what a doll!

  • Sheena recorded it first and Tim Scott covered it. She did not cover it.

  • @getwilder Not possible. Not only did Tim release it a couple of years before Sheena, but Tim is listed as the writer of the song on both versions.

  • This is Sheena's "cheat it" Not "Beat it"! LMAO

It's Michaels "Beat it" mixed with Phil Collins 'Easy Lover"!

its so bad it hurts my ears!

  • I like the song, but not the video. Talk about cheesy!

  • The guy in this video. Isn't he the one that shot himself on the set of like some series with this little puerto rican boy? I'm sure it's him. I think his last name is Hamilton?

  • love this song

  • What's with the ugly fat women and dumb looking Asians in this video? I know 80's videos were cheese, but this one is up there!

  • I had this 45!

  • I wasn't aware until now that this is a cover. I listened to Tim Scott's version and it is quite terrible. No wonder I never heard of it until Sheena did it. She is so hot.

  • I love this song<3(:

  • I love how she commands her eyes. So sexy.

  • What a beautiful and sexy woman with a great voice! This was the first version I heard. I will check out others though

  • What I hate most is that her album do you didnt receive the attention that it shouldve....that album made a huge change in her sound

  • Antony Hamilton you're a f**kin hunk! RIP

  • I SWEAR the 80s was the best decade for music !!! It was fun fun fun !!!

  • 1984 was prolly the most prolific year of music in the 80's!!!

  • @thedancetuber i agree....that year made a huge change in the sound of music!

  • i love sheena earrings

  • What year did this song came out?

  • If I remember correctly it was on the album "A Private Heaven". So it was probably released as a single in 1984 or 85. It was over shadowed by "Strut" and "Sugar Walls". There were a lot of good songs on that album. She also experimented with different types of songs and sounds. Wish I could find the album on CD.

  • 1984.

  • Reminds me that it peaked low on the American Top 40. I was sad about that. But here, 20 odd years later it is on YouTube. Who's had the last laugh now eh Casey Kasem? :-D

  • i always loved this song but wished it got radio play. my cousin had this cassette and after visiting, i took it with me. i never knew there was a video with it, but i wonder what it means when they say the room was all white, there was something going on. ??

  • Sheena rocks! Not pop, but rock! I'm not sure, but I think this song is a remake. At one point it was by a male rock band, but I don't know who.

  • It sounds a lot like Cyndi Lauper's "She Bop."

  • OH YEAH, how fabulous!

  • The blonde male model in the video died of aids, a few years later.

  • Thanks for posting this. I had bought the 45 of this but actually like the flip side song so much better "Falling Angels". It was a fantastic song!

  • Come back home to Glasgow Sheena!

We love you and are so proud of you here!

  • This is a travesty. Sheena had some great songs that were hers. It's a shame she had to ruin Tim Scott's song.

  • Oh relax. It's a fun version, don't be such a stick in the mud. A cover is always a nice tribute.

  • A fair point.

  • @ggh7664 I have to agree. Scott's version has something interesting and dangerous lurking underneat, but Easton has turned the song into.. nothing special. This is somewhat reminiscent of Pat Benatar's "Sex as a weapon", but minus what ever worked for that song...

  • exactlly - my first thought - beat it

  • the guitar riff is a bit like "beat it".

  • I noticed it too *nods*

  • god this is so retro!!

  • Why arent girls hot like this anymore? She makes you want to bang your head against a wall you want her so badly!

  • The leading man in this video was Australian actor Antony Hamilton. He was on the show "Cover Up", and the 1988 revivial of "Mission Impossible". He died in 1995. R.I.P.

  • I think he died from complications from AIDS.

  • is that the show with the bonnie tyler "holding out for a hero" as theme ?

  • Gracias por subir este video donde está Antony Hamilton, siempre es lindo volver a verlo y recordarlo.

  • i love the rock sound of sheena.

  • LOVE IT!!!!!

  • I recognize that the video is a pioce of shit (well maybe in 80´s was medium) but the song was one of her good songs in Mexico, and... this woman continue remembering me to Kylie Minogue , but I don't know why....

  • What was that thing at 3:07? There is a reason why fat persons should not be seen. They are visually unappealing. Attention obese humans: STOP EATING SO MUCH DAMN FOOD!!! Have some self control.

  • That's mean.

  • But accurate.

  • singing 5/10 ,singing 5/10 she was ok.

these days you get singing 8/10 and looks 2/10 or singing 3/10 and looks 7/10.did that make sense?lol

  • this song is pure excellence. it places third to strut and sugar walls. but maybe higher since it wasn't overplayed on the radio. i love hearing it when i get ready in the morning. i always kept track of this cassette that i got from my cousin. i never knew there was a video for it,now i can enjoy that 80's cheese. that fat girl in the video has got to go, Sheena what were you thinking? love ya always. i know she worked with prince, was she banging him also?

  • I've read that they had a brief affair but she left him rapidly because he wad too weird doing things like dancing pogo alone disguised as an old king in the living room:-)

  • yeah u r rite- a great song

  • cool groove , like the rap

  • What I find funny is everyone else is so mediocre looking and then there is Sheena Easton! It's a fun lil' song and video, and it took me back to the times when I was under age and sneeking into bars!lol!;)

  • I love this song. This is an olddie but a goodie.

  • Not quite as interesting as Tim Scott's original, but a smart single choice (especially after "Sugar Walls") that should've done better.

But yes, the hair is a bit much.

  • Sheena's got some serious Markie Post hair goin' on in this video! NICE...

  • when you sing songs that were written for you by men who looked like any random member of a flock of seagulls, this is the effluent you get.i laugh at the memory of how large shena's head swelled at the height of her fame and how it engorged beyond that moment. or?

  • Cyndi Lauper > Carly Simon > Sheena Easton >>>>>>> The wall which is not gone over >>>>>> Other singers
