Well... according to my friend, in the later manga chapters, they consider him for the 7th Hokage (Danzou being the 6th) and Naruto isn't considered because people are prejudice towards jinchuuriki, and that he is not strong when it comes to superior intellect that a Hokage should require. Kakashi meets the conditions for Hokage and he is also one of the best jonin (other than Might Guy, however, he is only a taijustsu specialist and not really 'hokage material')

i think :D there's no weakness of sharingan. Though kakashi can use Sharingan but he hasn't got an Uchia body, which makes it very hard to use sharingan and it costs a lot of chakra
