It looks like he put some sort of two part clear coat over the other clear coat. Did he? What was that two part substance he sprayed over it, and do you think he used 2000 grit sandpaper before he shined it?
@thiswomps352 polyurethane clear varnish, very toxic....may cause "water lungs" and other ailment....ALWAYS use a proper respirator (check its filter type)!
It's decal setting solution. It helps erase air bubbles that appear as white where it should be clear, and it helps the decal bond to the model. Check out Micro sol, for softening the decal to get set well on curves and in small places, and Micro set, which is the decal set.
I want this video on my S-6005 unit.

NIce tips sleepy, but why you sand the model in dry? Isn't better wet sanding?

nope, theyre like any other normal plastic model. But Tamiya does sell "completed models" in the same scale but not for every model.
