  • This best played VERY LOUD!

Sod the neigbours, it sounds great in the car 70mph

along the M8 towards Glasgow at full volume.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Good feeling and who cares about other motorists looking at you wondering what is that old fella doing?

    Don't care, don't care, don't care.

    Motown rules.

  • Joe Hunter is superb on that piano! The majority of them were accomplished jazz musicians before sighning with Motown. A class act that can't be touched or duplicated!

  • I wish it had all the backing vocals of the Vandellas.

  • Joe Hunter magic fingers

  • I'm telling you...this music gives you such an appreciation of the wonderful musicians Motown had. You never hear this on the original recordings.

  • it feels like the summer of '63 coming back to me again

  • The sense of swing is just incredible!

  • that's Benny Benjamin

  • Martha and the Vandellas on background on this one...one of my favorite early Motown tracks and hot backgrounds...wwoooo!!

  • For once & all, it was Martha Reeves & The Vandellas singing background vocals for Marvin on this tune.

  • Another Jamerson Jem!!(Bass player James Jamerson)

  • Must Be From "Motown Master Recordings-Original Artist Karaoke" made by the Singing Machine!

  • A great track with or without Marvin's vocals. Thx.

  • I heard it was The Supremes singing the background vocals on this.

  • It was Martha & The Vandellas, I think.

  • The Supremes did 'You're A Wonderful One'

  • Martha & The Vandellas did backing vocals on: "Stubborn Kinda Fellow", "Hitch Hike" & "Pride & Joy"....Supremes did "Can I Get A Witness" & "You're A Wonderful One".

  • 5 Stars!!!!!

  • Does anyone know who sings the background vocals on Pride & Joy?

    Donna~

  • I believe its Martha Reeves and the Vandellas

  • THANKS to all who answered! I really APPREICIATE it...one more favor-where can I obtain a copy? Love it!

    Donna~

  • Once again a top instrumental from the vaults of Motown,.ktf.
