  • one of the best songs ever. and its 4 simple chords.

  • who never felt like this ?

  • its the best song ive ever heard, did kurt write it?i hope so coz i love it,i listen to it every day in rememberence of kurdt kobain,i so wish he was here and often wonder what his music would be like today 2011,and as for smells like teen spirit that can go fuck.PEACE,LOVE,EMPATHY

    KURT COBAIN :)

  • This guy is actually a real singer and artist. Also he is a Maine character in board walk empire as well. This movie is great.

  • my god. one of the best song ever made with an acoustic guitar.

  • Comment removed

  • totally ripping that guitar apart towards the end... reminds me of kurt =)

  • @MrFunkyHerbs its the idea

  • michael pitt es probablemente la esperanza del grunge, que lastima que no siga tocando o que su banda no se hizo conocida. hubiesen sigo el siguiente nirvana

  • @999duhast Still, stop ramming your opinion down somebody else's throat. State your opinion, sure. But don't attack somebody for saying theirs.

  • @Lovesrichey man, u just pissed on that guys bonfire :D well played my friend

  • @SuperChuck1997 Haha, cheers (;

  • @999duhast everyone is entitled to an opinion. Why does this mean they don't know their films? What appeals to you may be complete shit in other people's eyes too. Beauty and great art is subjective, stop being a nazi.

  • 4:02 WTF?!

  • The only thing which is not like Kurt is that he's holding his guitar the other way... But this man is great.

    Thumbs up!

  • Una de las canciones que Kurt Cobain nunca pudo dar a luz, sinceramente Michael Pitt le quedo muy bien los arreglos.

  • Oh look, Kurt Cobain magically turned right handed.

  • loved the film im a big nirvanan fan and a big fan of kurt michel pitt portrayed him brilliently

  • great fucking movie. dont listen to people who bash it. it is amazing and he was the best pick for kurt and portrayed him better than anyone could

  • Damn I love this movie!

  • Sounds like Dumb and Pennyroyal Tea Unplugged combined now that I think of it

  • I honestly think this song made this movie complete... Full circle... It seems that Blake had this on his mind before his death... Incredible song :,)

  • 1994 worst year for the music

    Born of J.Beaver

    death of Kurt Cobain

    ;_;

  • @Eryans27 haha very true

  • Michael Pitt. Good work mate.

  • i really love this song, i play it live sometimes, the studio version is amazing too. but i just love the basic pure emotion of just michael and his acoustic on this song. when i play it live i play it like that. so much emotion in the song and so much emotion can come out with just a guy and his acoustic guitar.

  • wow i better go change my pants

  • What is that movie?

  • @Galacticize last days

  • i love this song..always in be my fav...

  • WAT DIS STRING LOLZ

  • i really love this song reaminds me kurt

  • @magikamerica i feel the same way, it surprises me how so little resources can lead you to such an expressive scene, that gives evrerybody who loved kurt chills and comprehension

  • what i do like about this scene is the fact that he acts all dead during all movie and sundelly he shows that he's not dead at all. almost like the music reanimated him each time he plays

  • Kurt Cobain would like this song,

  • father in to your hand i commend this spirirt!

  • the movie really sucks but this song is beautiful

  • what does he do at 3:50

  • @Zeppelinfan11or12 saco una cuerda , vieja supongo

  • First time when I watched it, I couldn't stop crying. So emotional

  • i wonder what the lyrics are

  • wuts the name of this song?

  • @GrungeLoverVamp98 Death To Birth, is the name, it's on Pagoda's self titled album

  • i so love him! he is sooo talented...and sooooo gorgeous!

  • I remember this scene. It came right after what i thought was the sadest scene in the movie, until I saw this one. The guy is asking this guy to help him with his song, but then lie half he just says oh i gotta hang owt with ma cool as mates now later, and just ditchs him, and the guy is like ' i 'll listen to itanneway.." and i cant explain it but it was so sad

  • If this song were a boy, I would make up with him an marry him, we would have some children, who we take to a long walk on the beach on a sunny, windy day. When we were old we would die in peace.

Sorry, I'm cheesy, but this is definitively one of the movings songs I ever heard.

  • THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • from 1:20 to about 2:00 he resembles the most with cobain

  • michael pitt can act, sing AND play the guitar!

  • this is best scene in the movie...so emotive

  • So what if he wasn't alone. Just because you're in a band with other people doesn't mean you can't leave especially if you're the biggest part of the band.. And again, it doesn't matter if it's a very low chance it's still a chance and he took it.

  • This really is a sad yet beautiful piece of film. very moving, how it's just one camera shot, fixated on him the whole time, while he's playing. beautiful.

  • i love when he breaks the string

  • @DxExDxIxCxAxTxE Yeah me too, but i hate when mines broke

  • @DxExDxIxCxAxTxE Me too, but I hate then I broke MY strings.

  • @Extremest242 Woww.. you reply now?? ipost that like 1 year ago..lol.

  • @DxExDxIxCxAxTxE It was on top cause you have many thumbs up :)

  • who cares if Kurt is dead, he killed himself...he's gone, he decided to end his life...fuck him...there's millions of fans still listening to nirvana, still buying cds and stuff...should we stop listening nirvana just because he killed himself? fuck no...this movie is awesome, if you like nirvana and you're interested in kurts final days, youll really like this, it's really interesting.

  • I agree with you.

  • this is a nice movie for these people who understand Kurts Cobain life style...

But you know, Axlhedfeild is right, he was dont want to be famous musician, he was just to be drummer in unfamous group(his dream)...and he was just a true punk-grunge person. He was proud that he was sleeping under a bridge when he was leave from his family house.

    He always

  • 1. He never really lived under a bridge

    2. If he did not want to be famous, he would have never signed a deal with a record label and would have never done music videos and etc.

3.He wanted attention and now hes got it now more than ever.

  • awful true

  • I agree with you up to an extent. He probably wanted to be big, which is, like you said, why he signed with a huge label. But I'm not thinking the same "big" or "famous" that you are. I think he did it solely to make his music big, and it worked. As for wanting attention, I think that was just something that came unexpectedly, that is, he didn't expect how big they'd get, and he just couldn't handle it. That's what I think at least. I really can't comment on whether he lived uner a bridge.

  • I agree. I'm a big Nirvana and Kurt fan but when people say he didn't want to be famous why would he sign?

  • So that people would hear his music and understand him. But clearly he lost faith in that.

  • @Commiteee Maybe he wasn't alone in the band ? And when you sign, what is your chance to be really famous like him, maybe 1% so...

  • can't wait for the new movie heavier than heaven based on kurt cobain..and nirvana..to the end..the same director who made walk the line based on johnny cash..go grunge

  • is it actually happening? i heard news about it like a year or two ago, but i cant find any new info on whos gonna be in it, director or release or anything

  • seriously? when will it come out???

  • Oh man, Walk the Line sucked. It focused more on his love life than creative process for his songs. It was a movie for movie goers, not the Cash fans. I hope they don't screw up Nirvana on the big screen.

  • I love this song, and I agree, no one does Kurt Cobain better then Pitt.

they sound so alike throught the entire movie it's creepy...

the song itself has a huge refference to Kurt himself, and I think the lyric "with my own wooden case" is reference to a coffin.

either way Kurt would have been proud of how well this is done.

  • Superbe musique qui traduit bien la vision de kurt...l'imcompréhension, la solitude et l'envie de partir...quelle doux voyage que de partir sur cette musique................................

  • that was so damn close to Kurt it's scary.

  • just wonderful :- ]

  • reminds me of frusciante in that interview when he was all strung out

  • What interview?

  • type in john frusciante v pro 1994,

try to find the complete video

  • That terrible watching one of my biggest influences acting like that. :(

  • yeah but i think if it wasent for their drug use the chili peppers wouldnt have been as creative as they were, especially with the californication album

  • me acuerdo la primera ves k la oi k pense k era kurt cobain pero descubri k era michael pitt

  • hmm looks like kurt cobain, sounds like kurt cobain...

  • call me what you want...but in my opinion this is possibly one of the most beautiful scenes in film history. Pitt is fantastic!! and dammit he's beautiful!

  • I absolutely agree with you :)

  • @magikamerika And if it was not for Kurt Cobain, this would not have been possible.

  • @magikamerika Great analogy

  • No one better to play Kurt than Pitt.

Although it's not EXACTLY based on Kurt Cobain, we know what Gus meant...

  • hehe... kurt cobain was left hander...! xD

  • I think what's saddest, besides the fact that it's a depressing ass song, is that it reminds us of all the beautiful songs that Kurt died with, that he probably sat alone playing and no one has or ever will hear.

  • i fucking love this song, i cry on it,fucking love it

  • This movie is great not because it really shows what Kurt did in his last days, noone knows that,it is great cause it gives us one more chance to see him!

  • This is by far my favorite scene of the movie... when he rips out the broken string, uhg! fuckin beautiful!

  • me hizo llorar...xd aver si la aprendo con la guitarra...

  • this song is really great and really emotional, i loved hearing it on the movie of last days...x(

  • i love this version of the song, more emotional than the original on the pagoda album.

  • totally agree..
