Yes, it does. There's only one version of Quake 4 for the 360. There's no actual special edition or anything like that.

Hey, I was just wondering how you got the godmode cheats for your Quake 2 game. It's on the Xbox isn't it? I just recently got the game, and have looked everywhere for the god mode or invincibility cheats, but I can't find it anywhere. Could you tell me what the cheat is for invincibility for this game?

I don't know. Honestly, I've never seen the point in cheating in any of the Quake games. Or really any game for that matter.

I have a problem w/ Quake II for the 360. When I access to the custom soundtracks stored on the HDD. It freezes up on the mid-game menu! >:-( Have you had this problem Rob?

Nope, never had that problem. These videos are done with the custom soundtrack from the PSX version (so, everything from the PC version and its expansions). And it worked fine. Of course, it's been a year or so since I last played it on the 360. Maybe something they changed with the updates screwed it up.

Off of Steam you mean? Because Steam sucks. Quake 1, 2, 3 and their expansions use rebook audio (cd tracks) for their music. The Steam versions only give you the installed game, not the music. Not as a bonus soundtrack, not as emulated cd music, nothing. They rip you off. The only way to currently get the music is to find a cd version of the game with the tracks.

Still one of the best action based FPS games out there. No carry limit on your weapons, no annoying AI team mates. Just pure gameplay and a rockin soundtrack :D

I don't know what to say. There's a disc that says "bonus disc" on it. I'd take it back for a refund, and buy a sealed copy. This way they can't "forget" to give it to you. I'm also pretty sure that if you buy it used there's a good chance you won't get the bonus disc, since used game places would only require the game disc itself.

I bought it at EB Games I think. It's on the Bonus Disc that comes with every copy of Quake 4. If you buy it used, make sure it has the Bonus Disc. :)

These games had so much atmosphere. What happened to shooters? Maybe it's all the focus on multiplay nowadays. Personally, I always loved playing through the single player, and I'd get pumped when I could go back and play those same maps in multiplay. Wolfenstein, Doom, Duke Nukem, Hexen, Blood, Quake 1&2 especially.. don't make them like they used to. Those games were imaginative and had something special about them. I lost interest in most shooters after Half life.

Sounds like pointless nostalgia. Great games are great forever. Quake 2 was great so it's still as fun as ever. Just like half-life and perfect dark. But so are games like half-life 2 and the halo games.

It seems like the GL rendering mode is much brighter (in a good way) on the 360. It seems modern PC cards don't render GL the same as they did back in the day, and it ends up dark.

Looks like I should get Q4 360 just for Quake 2.

Elbryan on the pc version of quake 2 on this level after destroying the train, collecting those power cubes, I go to that little red door to power up that lift but it says I have to get the power cubes, yet I have all of them :S.

If you have all 4 cubes (remember the last one sitting out in the middle of nowhere instead of in a panel, the last one I pick up) it should work. If not, might be a bug.

Hell yeah. The classic shooter action can't be beat, with the hub structure that was only in Quake II, Hexen, and Hexen II. I wish more games used it.

Really added an exploration aspect to the game that games today don't have. It's depressing to see a new game with great AI and being completely linear.

That track is on one the PC expansions (don't knwo which one) as well as the PSX version of Quake II. I recorded the music myself from the PSX version and put it on my XBox. Having three times the Quake II music is awesome. :)

Yes, it does. It's redbook audio, so if you have the Steam version, you don't get the music. :| Thankfully I still have the original disc.

Hell yeah. The best version of Quake II. Just make sure you get that bonus disc with Quake 4, or else you got ripped off. A lot of second hand stores forget about it, or the person who brought it in didn't give them the bonus disc.
