Who cares? either it's Thai or Khmer, just enjoy the movie. Oh, one more thing, Siam and Cambodia have been exchanging cultures for a very long time. There are some Khmer elements in Thai culture and vice versa.
However, though I understand some Khmer phrases but I enjoy the movie a lot. It makes me think of Thai horror movie in the past.

they not said the story is thai or khmer but the style of this film is copying all from thai not followed the khmer style. Intro, themesong, cinematory, art direction, ending and ghost style all copy from thai. THe way the lady not lenght her hand to do something. Khmer version, the ghost used to lenght her tough.

i cambodia, and i knew that it originated from thailand ,phra khanong district at bangkok. No any evidnent in Battambong, no one know the story. Khmer has only horror story called banana ghost tree. Somepeople confusion nang nak to banana ghost. Thai has all evidence like pagoda and status with tradition. In Thailand we have Mae Naak shrine, and we have many evidences of Somdet Dtoe, the monk who released Mae Naak's spirit, which include the spell that he taught Mae Naak ( เมตตาคุณนังอรหังเมตตา) So I just wanna know whether Cambodia has something like these ?

This is a story that goes way back in Cambodian...thai can make the movie all they want but what happened was in Cambodia. Thai just got the story line from us.
Dang this is the beginning...I was watching the part 10 and it scared the hell out of me. I am so freaked out just by it haunting music...am out of here...

For Khmerphilly40: You can find this movie at Mietophoum, I bought this from them quite recently. Incidentally the spelling (in their catalog, at least) is not "Neng Ned", but "Neang Neath". It's the Khmer version of "Nang Nak"...
