@DThaeman True my old dad owned mercs all through the 70 80 90s , when he retired in 2000 he bought a new E class from then onwards he grew to hate the car, the reliability and quality was bad and the dealeship were useless, it was never away from them. It was a sad day for him when he decided to buy a Lexus LS, yeah a Jap Lexus. But strange thing was he thought it was by far the best car he had ever owned, i reluctantly had to agree with him. To this day he drives a lexus.

Me, my boss, his son(who also works there) all drive w123's. and our parts pick (my job) vehicles have all been junkyard or collision w123's or w124's. Mash two parts cars together for $400, take out all the electronics. Get the scrap metal for them. It's now a free car that will run for a couple hundred thousand miles. Just takes a slow day's worth of work. (:
