  • i wish my nba street 2 game worked..i wish it was on the ps3

  • soulja boy be betta!!!!!!!!!1

  • undervalued in its time one of the greatest classics and real hip-hop, it's actually kinda sad kids first descovered it playing NBA Street video game

  • I don't know.

Saying this is the greatest beat seems wrong.

    It's more accurate to say.

THIS is hip hop. Everything else is a shadow.

  • Deep.

  • (No Particular Order): Pete Rock, J Dilla, DJ Premier, Dr. Dre....best ever all u need

    good stuff.

    thanks for posting.

  • its sad that ppl only member this cuz of nba street

  • its usually the young bucks who remember this from nba street..it's a classic and very very few would ever be able to appreciate that this song was orchestrated out of love

  • @rumudd1 busta ryhmes was in the studio with PR and someone else..they all started crying when they heard it for the first time..check out pete rock and premiers interview together when u get a chance..

  • @nxy322 its sarcasm kid haha, i love music too much to care about that kinda ish

  • @crozzbone5 Dope! I don't have Madden 12 but it's dope that TROY's on it.

  • @elnapo09 i am from mexico i dont know whatafuck is nba street i grew up with the classics in the 90s

    Pete rock is the shit!

  • @elnapo09 Better than it not being remembered at all...

  • @elnapo09 not sad at all, I was born in 93 so I didn't have a chance to really grow up with the great 90s hip hop music.

How is sad that we came across this great instrumental? People find out about certain music in different ways, it doesn't matter how you come across the song, it only matters how you feel about the song. I think this is one of the best hip hop beats of all time, and a great song too.

It's sad that people actually agreed with you (52 Thumbs Up).

  • @mohammad5 93 til infinity my man, i totally understand what you're saying!

  • @Martaekwon my nigga.

  • @elnapo09 being born in '92, if it wasn't for NBA street I would never had appreciated this real hip hop and would have ended up liking lil wayne or soulja fucking boy

and everyone was havin a blast

my mindset is still stuck in the past

and if you wanna go and be an ass

i wouldn't mind sittin' here tellin' you to relax in the grass

fuck lil wayne and young money; shits garbage

i'm like the sparrow and your like the partridge

and i beefed up my car rig to look like sumthin from 1992

now this old schoo nigga is comin' through

  • @deathmantas1 fuking epic...... love it

  • One of the best productions in hip-hop history, very balanced in beat and inventive sampling, actually ruined by NBA Street Game.

  • @mednos i dont agree. im a young cat, 17 years of age, caught this when i was in like 5th grade, probably wouldnt have caught me if i hadnt played that game. and it changed my musical taste for the better. so no, it didnt ruin it. i do agree, best produced hip hop song of all time

  • @teamprov13

I would have to agree. Most people our age (Me being 15) don't appreciate quality songs like this. But....it is what it is. Nice to know someone else has an open-minded view on hip hop.

  • @teamprov13 im a HUUUUGE Jazz fiend. i have been ever since i was 5. lol 15 now and i still love Jazz. sorry if it upsets u, but i hate the shitty rap ppl come up with nowwa days. this is rap and Jazz in one. MY FAVE!!!

  • @JaYmAdSeXy172 i agree with you on that one..theres a few out there that arent shitty but then again most all the good music isnt mainstream

  • @DOOMED1993 exactly my point ^.^

  • @JaYmAdSeXy172 Im wit u on tht one I hate rap nowadays old school rap was actually talent nd sophisticated. Nowadays rap is ignorant nd shitty. Im only 14 tho so people luk at me funny when I say lil wayne is ass or sumthin lyk tht.

  • @Necrolium the only rapper worth listening too is Eminiem

  • @JaYmAdSeXy172 Man...hush!

  • @mrgaines have a problem with me speaking?

  • @JaYmAdSeXy172

YOU FUCKING NUMB NUT YOU EVENDENTLY DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT HIP HOP EMINIEM IS A GOOD MC BUT YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE PIONEERS OF HIP HOP YOU SHIT MOUTH

  • @bigste265 i know the fuking fathers of hip pop u stupid cunt face bitch. i said NOW. before there was soooo many rappers i use to listen too. now, the rappers just talk about sex. no real life. gtfo nigga

  • @powderdd lol true, I've learned about many classics through playing the tony hawk series.

  • pete rock is ill

  • yeah youre so right like when they play this song while im playin nba street i get like 80 points a game

  • wanna hear real hip hop like Jay Electronica, Nas, B.o.B, J. Cole, Drake, and Lupe? go to youtube search box and type in "jay jay check my vision"....bringin back the days where its more about the lyrics than the instrumental

  • I love this music too in NBA Street Vol 2

  • everything is perfect from the drums to the classic pete rock filtered bassline to the intro. this is a master class for beat heads.

  • To this day, I still get geeked off this joint everytime I hear that saxophone break.

  • Is it me or does this trak never get old. Pete Rock is in the top 5 no doubt. I know i know we can argue for days but just keep it real feel me. When in doubt then just play this trak over again

  • its not you...its timeless. very few songs can never wear on you..feels like the first time every time

  • @TheJfamous Yea it really doesn't get old. This and Shook Ones II, Bucktown, and C.R.E.A.M. are the beats that really got me into hip-hop.

  • This dont have the intro = Fail

  • Pete Rock's horns are always crazy. Big up to Mount Vernon.
