It was after the video game market crash, video games weren't selling, and Atari was getting screwed in the ass, video games were dead.

Nintendo releases the NES in Japan, then they wanted to sell it in the states, but no stores would stock it, as games = waste of money. Thats when Nintendo created R.O.B, instead of marketing the NES as a video game console, they marketed it as a toy, like a trojan horse.

R.O.B saved gaming.

You onlock him. he is extremely powerful and can fly, etc. his final smash is a weird pink sound wave thing which isnt that strong. He is actually the guy in the green cloak who drops the bombs.

the original one is Robot Gyro on the japanese releas name but the north american one is called gyromite. same game, however. oh and the original japanese version was white with red arms and eye cover thing and looked way better. it was for use with the famicon/nes ( the red and white was famicon colours). in n.america it was just the NES so they didnt use red on it..

hes not hooked up to the system, his "eyes" respond to optical flashes of the game (when that sound before all the noise of it moving plays you can see a flash of green or a different colour if you look closely.)

no, hes not actually hooked up to the system. you slide the second NES controller into its container thing to hold it. those spinning gyros land on the button corresponding to the pipe on the screen that needs to be lifted to complete the levels.
