@BlessingsA: Thanks! Although there are only scant ruins remaining of Hitler's home, the Berghof, a trip to Berchtesgaden and up to Obersalzberg is highly recommended, especially from mid-May through October when the Eagle's Nest is open to visitors.
I love your clips, Iv'e watched over and over for about a year now... I just love Salzburg and Berchtesgaden... Your vids gives one alot of information and funny facts that i like... I've only been to the city and small village once in May, it's just... stunningly beatiful... Keep up the good work! My english sucks...
@wallabaja10 ; Thank you! You're too kind. By this time next year I plan to have many more travel videos for you to view, e.g. Innsbruck, Vienna, Munich, Dresden, Berlin, Frankfurt. In fact, I'm in Europe now capturing footage for the said videos. Prost!
@oktoberfest1810 ; That would be really awesome! You should visit the northern countries of Europe like Norway, Sweden and Finland. The view is just stunning over there too.
lol, you can tell it in diferent - you can see our slovenia krampus if you will writte: parkeljni v stari loki <- they are the best in slovenija and i am coming from there :P
Thanks! Glad ya enjoyed the vids. You'll equally enjoy the Hotel Türken; a real treat for WWII buffs. And thanks for considering my book. You won't find another Germany guidebook that is more comprehensive on the subject. But don't take my word for it, Gary Warner, a respected travel writer for the OC Register, wrote it's "Better than anything I've seen from a major publisher." Google "Brett Harriman oc register" then click, Wolf at the door, and it's under "Read about it" (ignore ytcompanion)
Berchtesgaden is soooo nice, my grandparents live there! I see you experienced the 5th and 6th December with the "Gramperl", wasn't that really weird for you? I mean, I've been growing up with this tradition but what was in your mind when you first saw this?
Yes, Berchtesgaden is very beautiful. I feel at home there. I experienced Krampus a few times, even once in nearby Salzburg. This is where I took the picture of the creature butting heads with the smiling girl on my YouTube page. When I first saw Krampus it was hard to believe. Another first for me there was seeing a snow bar, set up at the beginning of the ped zone and consisted of two girls serving drinks from behind a large pile of snow stacked chest-high in the shape of a counter. Very cool!

I bet... it works to scare the children (and the adults) during the Krampus event.
They should do it in my own country as well the youngsters here have far to little respect to anything these days.
Think i will return again soon enough and check Krampus myself, at least i know i have to be carefull as a youngster:)
Next year its 70 years since the Kelhsteinhouse i believe, sounds like a nice year to check Berchtesgaden again.
