  • this is amazing. i'm so sad i'm terrible with technologies, i'd love to have something like that, so unique..is it music sensitive then or do the "images" just go random? is it something like the images on windows media player? i'm sorry, i've read your description but it sounds arabic to me! :( well done!

  • @robidappi

Hi, the images are generated according to the music - Something like the visualizations in Windows Media Player.

  • hahaha awesome i liked it

  • @lightswitchlarry

Cheers! Glad you liked it =)

  • youre off beat :/

  • badass bro

  • u spent the whole video saying, yeah im terrible, making it so that when someone insults the video, u bounce with i said i was bad. The video was good though. it was just annoying seeing all of the negative comments the creator made

  • @animatorguy2

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry you took it that way. My comments are either:

    1. Self-deprecating humor (and if it doesn't come across as humor to you, then I apologise, because it does to me)

    2. Actually useful tips, presented in the form of self-deprecating humor

    3. Links to other resources I've created that may be more helpful than this video

Remember that my intent of this video is to share the concept in an interesting manner, and this is my attempt to make it so.

Chroma Keying in Blender, visualization rendered by VSXU

  • well i can see what you were goin for haha and i think its pretty cool so good try

  • @sl8rsmith

Thanks! Definitely not my best chroma keying or music making attempt so I'm glad you like it!

  • what is chroma keying?

think i might make some kaoss vids soon,

have a bunch of loops already

about to get the kaoss pro i think

  • @scabbedeye

Chroma Keying is more commonly known as Green Screening or Blue Screening. Basically stuff is filmed in front of a green or blue backdrop. For this I used green. I removed the green color in post-processing and replaced it with the visualization you see.

The most common application of chroma keying is in weather reports =D

And yea, do post your own Kaossilator stuff, it's always fun to hear others' works!

  • @lcc0612 yeah im going to record some stuff now, had my baby niece loving the pad, for some reason synth is so awesome to kids and anyone with an imagination

  • @scabbedeye

Oh yes! They love it! Synths should be part of education, let them hone their imagination a bit.

  • Haha never mind all the apologies, it's cool. People are going to start asking for the special Chroma Key Edition of the Kaossilator, and it will be YOUR FAULT!

  • @Dracopol

Ha! But they have the Kaossilator Pro now, so it's one step closer =D

  • @lcc0612 The Kaossilator Pro reminds me of AIRPLANE 2 when William Shatner complains of the environment of the Moonbase and all the blinking lights, blinking and blinking and blinking...and is going insane. I sure hope the Pro has a "stay put and don't do shit until *I* do shit" setting!

  • cool stuff

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

  • looks awesome

  • Thank you so much!

As I've pointed out in the video there were actually quite a lot of problems - It certainly can be improved with a better camera and better lighting. =)
