Having watched this and your Snooker Compilation (1), I begin to wonder whether the three-times-up the table shot (as at 1.13) was a Kirk Stevens speciality - maybe he practiced it as a signature shot?
I was a big snooker fan during the late 70's - Pot Black, on my black and white telly! - and through the 80's. Amazing how the old brain can dredge up all the names from those days, thanks to clips like this. Thanks for these compilations, quite emotional really!
0:51 breaks my heart a bit seeing len ganley, I still can't believe he is gone but laugh on len!

Absolutely brilliant.
Completely brings back the treat of being allowed to stay up late to watch the final.
Kirk, Bill, Ray......ah, I'm 32 and them names make me feel ooooold ;)
Probably means more growing up in Sheffield admittedly.

The music, written by Scott Joplin, performed by Marvin Hamlisch, one of my faves.
Not a view shared with The Mrs though ;)
