Ah the great games of the 90's. Anyone remember Interstate '76, Star Control II, Mechwarriors 1 and 2? I don't see many of these creative and story-driven games anymore.
@AnalHaemorrhage graphics maybe, but the gameplay went really downhill and in wrong direction imho, right now most of the game is just interactive book rather than a game, but that's just me, maybe im getting too old
@OmegaCoolsterDX Each to their own, but I'd generally disagree with the argument that gameplay has gone downhill since 1995 (or the 8-bit/16-bit era, depending on who is making the argument).
If anything, I'd say that technology has allowed developers to create a greater variety of experiences that would have been impossible to deliver before. The massive open cities of the newer GTA games being an example.
@oideroid one example of an open ended city from 1990...terminator dos game. be either kyle or terminator, steal cars, run from the police, kill pedestrians, steal from shops and so on....all from 1990, the game even recreated about 10 square miles of la
@AnalHaemorrhage i dont think theyve improved, i dont think realistic is any better...for the very fact that it doesnt look surreal enough like the old games did. old sprites and models scared me much more than any fancy looking enemy today cus the old games used to warp and distort the shape as they moved. also harder to see so you had a sense of the unkown after you even though you know pretty much what it is, the distortian helps and thus for me suited the mood more for me because of that
Oh man this takes me back... The graphics totally blew me away at the time. Seriously the game had it all long before Halo or Unreal Tournament hit the scene.
This was from a time when movie to video game conversions were good also one of the best shooters I've played in my life! lol
This was good graphics? Even for the time you have games like Half Life just a couple of years later ._.

I want to upload some of this game, I got both of them on DosBox, but I don't know, I'm having trouble recording with it.
Maybe I should switch to fraps...
