The Koran says that men are allowed to marry multiple wifes ONLY if he can treat and provide for them equally, if not, he is only allowed to marry one.

And to all those people who like to mock Islam...What do you say about Catholic nuns who commit their lives to Christ in this life and think they will be his bride in the after life??? So how many wives is that for Christ?

He says that Islam has allowed to marry more than one wife but with the condition that a man can only have more than one wives if heis absolutely sure that he can do justice between the two of them.Please understand its not compulsory but even if a man has a second wife she gets equal rights not like the western concept of feminism that claims to free women instead are reducin their status to mere concubines who have no rights and are used by men.But no one says that thats degrading women.

I congratulate Dr. Zakir Naik, at least he dares to speak over the religious muslim scriptures and the law of the land, about poligamy in general and polyginy and poliyandry in particular compairing between the Hindu & Other religians Vs Muslim. He sets out to explain why Islam allows to marry more than one wife, and for most part talks why Islam says "marry only one". Defines anything called common sense... Does he really understand what he talks? And hell, why is none of the audience questioning this? Oh.. they are all his followers?
