  • Desesperated? HAHAHAHA, Awesome! And Yngwie kicks ass!

  • As Vai once put it, Yngwie is a shark among minnows.

  • Gguerra has a near-perfect cover of this up - he fingers it more classically as opposed to the 3 finger yngwie method (yngwie has huge friggin hands)

  • this definitely should have been on guitar hero. I'm tryin to learn this insane song on actual guitar and so far i've been working on it for three days and i've only gotten to 58 seconds in and that still needs work.

  • thumbs up if you think this should have been on guitar hero

  • @monkeybutlers1234 this is impossible since guitar has fallen.

  • @mrelisamuel very good point

  • I have this record, pulled it from some guy's trash after that tropical storm last year. Hadn't listened to it, now I am. Vinyl ftw!

  • Anybody knows if this song is dropped on Eb tuning?

  • @dakaduuda Yes it is, I have the sheet music, because they had that track at some point in a guitar mag, can't remember which one. But it says there that the original is tuned down a half step on Yngwie's recording.

  • Holy moly, i can play the first 2 minutes =)

  • so underrated

  • Check out our channel for a new October 2011 live performance of this song!

  • YES! I HAVE GOT THE FIRST 20 SECONDS FULLY MASTERED! NOW FOR THE REST...

  • Best guitarist of all time.

  • x]

  • Beethoven had his symphonies, and here's the Malmsteen symphony now.

  • Perfect and Epic !!!

  • one of my favorite songs

  • Perfect...

  • his impact on modern guitarists is enormous. I love the guys who say " i hate yngwie", then go rip some fast harmonic minor scales with bach-type sequencing....um hello?

  • @Gtrplayer77 yea but it's not like anyone else could have just come and transposed bach's techniques from clavi to electric guitar... (i like malmsteen btw, he's just not the super ultra genius hes cracked up to be)

  • @Doika86

Hes the chuck berry of shred. Often improved upon, but only after being extensively studied :)

  • /watch?v=nNaeRVfOBXk

  • Yngwie is an unbelievable guitarist, I just can't stand the constant shredding.

  • @DOWATTS dude - or dudette... check out Vinnie Moore, Marty Friedman, Paul Gilbert. all kings of shred when shred was in its hay-day. Synyster Gates is a carbon copy of a polaroid of a memo of any of these dudes (some of these references might be before ur time). He's what you get when you cross Justin Beiber w/a shred guitarist. Yngwie Malmsteen is what you get when cross Zeus w/a Strat and a winged horse.

  • BRIVIDI.....

  • in my opinion..there are better players than him...but considering there are so many out there..who just shred...yngwie shreds with so much feel..even paul gilbert, jason becker and many others have paid tribute to him..yeah he might be old and fat now..but when he stepped into the guitar world,he sure did influence many many players after him..

  • yngwie is the moses of shred music, there were some before him, but he was the one who said "this is the way to go boys!" :D

  • like my chota

  • Yngwie's immortal father is apollo for sure!

  • i dont care how technical players are today, they are almost like robots as yngwie was doing this all on the spot. he has the best tone ever here and he has more feeling in one note than any MAB speed kills lick

  • can't find the words to describe that talent. Yngwie is one of most gifted musicians I ever heard.

  • I thought Synyster Gates was the best guitarist ever... then I discovered Yngwie....

  • @DOWATTS lul

  • @DOWATTS Nah, he can only sweep-pick not saying he's bad i like him, but theres a hell of a lot better guitarist

out there much better, not saying that in a negative way.

  • @DOWATTS Yngwie is very good, but there are a lot of better guitarists. Also, playing 7859863 notes per second is not enough to create masterpieces. After his first three albums, Yngwie became an exhibitionist

  • My mate James had the History of the Fender Strat book and Yng was in the back, he was the only one that looked like a metaller so Jim bought the CD. I remember him giving me his earphones at school during interval. I waited years before he came to NZ. In the crowd their were some hardcore Maori Yng fans. One said hey ask my mate what he named his son, so I asked he replied James Yngwie Atawhai J Malmsteen. Fuckin most classic shit ever...

  • By today's standard this isn't much, but I just listened to almost every "big time" metal album from '83. More precise, their guitar solos, and putting this album in that context makes you understand the extent of Yngwie's grandeur.

  • This song Literally changed my life! Well, the whole album did.

  • keep in mind this is a 18 or 19 yr old on this recording.

  • this is my favorite yngwie song by far!

  • Barriemore Barlow the best drumer Yngwie had in his whole career!! Master Barriemore!!!!!!!!!! Long live Barlow!!!!!!!

  • SO FREAKING AWESOME!!! :D

  • the best ever guitar solo period!

  • nice, also check my version

  • 3:46 i came

  • In this month's Guitar Techiques magazine's issue there's the tabs for this. I'm just trying to play it, this man is absolutely insane I think and that's why I love Yngwie Malmsteen.

  • i premature at 2:05 every time

  • @metalmusicman18 lolz i premature at that too and at the end when it again reaches its climax !!! .. the best ever composition in my opinion

  • I'm learning this .. and i am failing evrytime i do ... perhaps someday in the far, far future ... maybe ;)) XD

  • @dcdeal001 teach me please!

  • @MsVeritasSaint i'm getting better.. i can nearly do this fast opening thing .. but i can't play the whole track.. it's a malmsteen!!!

  • This album changed my life.

  • And I was just born that year, heh, hilarious.

  • *_* ^_^ +_+ !_! @_@

  • What I like about listening to Yngwie is that no matter how fast he plays, we still feel every note.

  • only one faggot!!

  • @stradlin62

don't look to much into the mirror!

  • best guitarist ever <3

  • to;randyrhoads82rip-thanks for the superior sound quality-way better than tinny shitty condensor microphone bootleg bush-league bullshit-some of the live recordings are unfortunatly unlistenable.

  • He is God!

  • The longest guitarsolo that is really a whole song. Beautiful it is.

  • These Days,i was in my computer and listened this incredible song.At 4:20 to 4:35 i pulled off the earphones and turned the volume up.My mom came, desesperated,to my bedroom and said:

    "Is that you playing??"

I turned around with my eyes filled with tears and answered:

    "No!!! IT ISN´T!!!!!!!" X (

  • @MagnumBullets47 Nice post bro...

  • the God of Gitar from the heaven...!!!!!

  • It is the sound Zeus makes when he penetrates every star in the universe.

  • All Yngwie J. Malmsteen songs are #1.

  • @guitarshredder951

don't talk shit. Only his first album was groundbreaking!

  • now imagine if yngwie was a girl? :O lol

  • @angelds1990 yngwie isn't a girl? with all that curly long hair? and all those rings? and necklaces? and leopard prints? i'm pretty sure it is a girl.

  • I rate this as Yngwie' s greatest ever piece, with Trilogy Suite in 2nd place. This was from when Yngwie was truly untouchable as a guitarist..

  • @ichinesi actually, he's one of the few to actually live up to the full merits of the word "human"

  • yngwies one of my favourite and im doing the very same he done and going to his roots like paganini and bach, yngwie ftw but i was just commenting on how guthrie blew me away with his speed and precise technique. cheers for replying on my comment as well btw :)

  • Hey Yngwie is still great guys.

This is simply an all time classic album.

  • I wish Yngwie had continued down the path of instrumental music...pretty much anything of his with vocals or past the trilogy suite record is so contrived...

  • @ichinesi but lately not so good as before

  • the guy can play, but i'll take satch anyday of the week......

  • @dondorward2010

never heard 3:35 before and i have listend to thi song maybe a 1000 times..maybe he corrected it on the cd i have ..good ear

  • @chickendancelex You´re right. A bum note. You have a really good ear.

  • @chickendancelex damn i heard that shit the first time i got this album

  • Lol at 3:35 he stuffs up

  • 3:46 to the end I would like to hear anybody play that part with that level of emotion, tasteful vibrato and phrasing. There are some guys who can run through the notes, but I've never heard anybody deliver the whole package.

  • So yeah, where do i sell my soul to do this??

  • yngwie is class bt guthrie govan owns him

  • @oisinboydisrandy

    Yeah? And Holdsworth owns Guthrie....

Guthrie Govan is an entirely different kind of player to Yngwie.

You simply can't compare these two guitarists, and remember that Govan never plays classical stuff. Just as Yngwie doesn't play Fusion. You see?

This is no time for dick sizing. Enjoy the music...if you like it.

If you don't, then you know what to do.

  • @ExtremeBogom Did you make that comment dude??? If so I agree totally, fuckin AAAA++++ You can't compare Yngwie to Gary Moore, Paul Gilbert, Angus Young, Brian May etc... Horses for Courses etc...

  • @oisinboydisrandy I listened to Yngwie and it changed my Life.. I listened to Guthrie and was really impressed but nothing changed for me.

  • remember timo tolkki

  • @metaleromar1 - you obviously don't play guitar.

  • incredible!!!

  • Formidabelt spelat yngwie!

  • Yngwie is a Guitar God simply......! :-)

  • omg....amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All the 24 fret, Floyd Rose equipped guitarists should really listen to this!!! 21 frets and a primitive tremolo that just kicks ass!!

  • Far beyond the sun, is everybody dead.

  • luv yngwie's work!! its amazing!! lol did he do anything new at all???

  • Great tune, you should checkout neogeofanatics version, it's sick!
