I noticed some commented about his androgynous manner. That time in the eighties was a hey day for such. Think about David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust, and even the clothing style of most post-punk bands, glam rock, hairspray to heaven bands, and even the recent Marilyn Manson, and Adam fits right in as a cutting edge innovator. In that light you can't honestly tell what the truth is from the acting. Love the song and the video!

@bucky468 Nah, Frida didn't date Adam or anything. From what I understand, Adam Ant was recording his Strip album at Polar Studios in Stockholm, where ABBA did all their recording. However at this point in time, 1982-3, Frida was working on her solo album which was being produced by Phil Collins, who consequently plays the drums on this song. I guess they just happened to cross paths. You're right, though, she sounds very Swedish. And the girl in the video is Swedish actress Mary Stavins. =)

No one "acts" gay. I know straight men who are "feminine" and women who are somewhat "masculine" yet they are into the opposite sex.
