wow. sounds so great. mine is only five and i am lucky to brush my hair and to fit in a haircut every couple of months. as i write this, she is calling for me!
maybe after she does the waldorf kindergarten, i'll be juiced to go back to homeschooling. it is so RICH being with them the whole time.
just LOVE your VIDEOS, they have helped reclaim raw today. was raw almost two months and friday lost all energy and ended up reaching for heavy cooked foods. ok, your inspiration has me back on track.
how on earth do you have time to do all this self care, esp. long workouts, and homeschool. i have been homeschooling and am crazed for a little time to just...collect myself. next year sending little one three days a week to waldorf largely because i NEED some self care time.
wish you would share some of how you seem so...time free. you must have lots house help?
Thank you so much! I do major self care once a week (like a spa day) for about 2-3 hours. I actually do it while my kids are working online (math, blogging, typing). I wake up about 7 am and go to sleep around 10pm - midnight. The first couple years of homeschool I could not do this, but now they are in 6th & 8th grade & know the routine. My kids help with the chores. We do an hour a day. I'll post more in the reply below. I am running out of space :)
7-8 personal responsibilies (make bed, reading, journaling, etc)
8-9 work in the garden (get my sun in too)
9-11 yoga
11-12 shower & breakfast
From 12- 4 everyday is a bit different. (homeschool).
4-6 kids play with friends
6- dinner & clean up
8- reading in bed w/ kids
I do have support from my ex (their father) & the kids are old enough to help out with making food and cleaning, and working in the garden, We are a team. I couldn't do this when they were younger.
Great video, I am a homeschool mother as well and I am thankful that I get to have all this time with her. When I saw your children I had a strong feeling that they are homeschooled its just something differ with homeschooled children.
It's true they are different. They are not faced with all the negativity and drama for leading an alternative lifestyle. I want them to have integrity and a strong character. We are a product of our environment. I want to create the best growing environment. :) Thank you for being a homeschool mom yourself! I am glad to see more families doing this!
another great video & thoughts to ponder ... how cool that you homeschool your kids ... my kids are now 18 and 22 and "back in the day" they were homeschooled ... it really is a fantastic experience for the kids and the parents ...
Thank you Lisa!I am glad to know another homeschooler, even though your kids are up and grown now. I feel so connected with my kids. I didn't always have it so deep. I am glad I did it!
