Vaughn doesn't have the athleticism to be more than a role player in the NBA. He's also not a good shooter.

i totally forgot how dynamic jacque was at kansas. i understand he couldn't shoot but is fight and resolve was unrivaled in the hey day of college hoops. should have been an allstar at least once. hell chris paul is and he cant shoot either

That is ridiculous, I cannot believe you compared jacque vaughn to Chris Paul. Jacque Vaughn was a senior coming out of kansas and was drafted at only 27th in the first round of the NBA draft, Vaughn could never have been as good as Chris Paul is now or was when he came out of Wake Forest.

Why has Vaughn been such a bust in the NBA?

He was so good back in college.

he didn't get much exposure when he was young becuase he was picked by the spurs who already had veteran point guards like steve smith and jalen rose and now tony parker. he's always been a back up player to these guys. now if he was in a crappy team and had more minutes he would ve been able to put up better numbers..but nonetheless he has three championship rings

steve smith was no pg, jalen rose never played for the spurs, and vaughn didnt get to the spurs til after he played for 5 teams was with the jazz in the beginning after stockton, i still have his kansas jersey
