That is a crap load of weight for a front squat. I like how you always “demo” lifts with (probably) near max loads. Near max loads is where form breaks down, yet you keep everything tight. Nice.
Zerchers are awesome as well. This is a prison type squat because you don’t need a squat rack. Just lift the crap off the ground or (for more MAN quotient) deadlift it up, sit back while keeping the bar on your thighs, then rest the bar on your thighs and sneak your arms under the bar an lift.
This video is just what I needed. I just started doing front squats last week thanks to Strength camp (Yo Elliot's) advice. This video came just in time because I have been trying to find the best way to grip the bar. You, scooby, elliot, and Lee Hayward usually make a video explaining something I have a question with at exactly the right time. Also Darrin Steen. Almost forgot him.
@sweetusername1 If you can't do a clean grip properly, use straps like he is showing you, much more stable/easier to drive elbows up at the bottom of the squat, than arms cross grip.
@PNFer Especially for leg training, you are better off with flat shoes like his or barefoot, fancy shoes that put your heel in a higher position are screwing your stance and the way your body takes the load and separates it through your body, and can be bad for the knees on a long term scale.
