I mean: The video is cute, thanks for sharing. It is dizzying to see as time goes on the music of the Cure and the faces of the musicians ... The old fans do not like to see that, as time passed for us all ... as a train passed above us ... Everything changes as we change. And if you like, keep your own hair and make wigs for later.
agree jockojonson re: The Top - deffo the weakest of all the Cure albums during those first 10 years. I should have remembered that one when I put in my original post (but then the fact I forgot about it momentarily sums up pretty much how I feel about it as a whole!)
All the band members changed accept the singer, he looked normal at the start and then looked weird for the rest, and I'm sure there was a black guy for a while (I hope that doesn't sound racist) XD
Great visual overview! The Cure were essential between 1979 - 1989. Ten Perfect Years of peerless records and gigs. Wish was a bit patchy and practically everything they have done since has been a tired retread of their former glories..... contrived to the point of irritation. They should've quit while they were ahead, instead of becoming this self-parodic dinosaur that doesn't know when to stop. That 2004 s/t album was an embarrassment - dunno which was worse, that or Wild Mood Swings.
Wow, lovely old pix ! Thank you for uploading ! Robert is gorgeous even when he wears funny cliothes lol And unexpectedly I found the strange hairdo of my dear Simon, omg. The cure forever !
Sorry but, I didn´t see Carnage Visors anywhere and, there was photos with Michael Dempsey when he was already replaced by Gallup, also you used a song from Mixed Up to represent the album Japanese Whispers (even if the intended song´s studio version is on JW. Using Just Like Heaven to represent Kiss me, Kiss me was too obvious when there´s another 16 amazing songs. Anyway, as a true The Cure fan I demand for something more accurate.
@abcdille Bloodflowers is great! and I know its your opinion but i believe the Cure is still amazing! There newer albums havent been like disintigration of course, but maybe Robert Smith Will suprise us

Yuyis318 3 years ago
figurehead89 3 years ago
Eureka!
