I have to agree w/everyone that sat says a v8 is NOT a car to start out with when your 15/16. There is a reason y, not enough experience behind the wheel and for the most part at 15 or 16 ur parents rnt gonna pay the insurance for a 16 Yo w/a v8 unless ur a spoiled little bitch who gets anything they wants.

I tried finding a set for a 2000 Cobra R to use but they do not make them anymore, they also do not make the tips they used on the Cobra R anymore as well, which is too bad because if they did we could sorta copy the Cobra R's exhaust using there mufflers and tips separately.

i have a black convertible gt with the same exhaust i was the first in my county Berks PA to have them and now everyone is getting them it is a 96 mustang gt convertible. the are definatly my fav. pipes everyone has flowmaster so all of the stang sound the same and i got rid of my flowmasters and put these on to be dif.(this is not my account.)

I bought them about 10 years ago, I don't know where you can get them nowadays. mine are not for sale, googled and found a used set for $250, not bad, I paid 600 back in the day.

@bobdudle123211 Those sideskirts could only be bought and installed by an SVT dealer after you bought the car. you can get the sideskirts, but the SVO isnt embossed in them, those are discountinued. i have a right side for sale from a 96 cobra.

@4mybchez There was a company in MI that used to run ads in MM&FF in the late 90's. Anyone could order the SVO Borla side exhaust, it was $600 for the kit (unpainted). I believe CDC also sold a similar kit for the same price , but with Dynomax exhaust and no "SVO" on the sideskirts.

Yeah the garage made it sound louder, plus everything seems louder on that old digital camera I had then, cheap mic. Also the car had an off road H-pipe at that time.

There's a couple newer vids I have up of the first time I started it last year and the car has the factory H-pipe w/ cats if you want to compare.

best part about the exhaust is when you go to the track and do your burn out. my buddy had it on his 97 triple black vert and it looked like a top fuel becouse the exhaust carried the smoke out so much. car sounds good man. congrats!!!

You have to drill a hole into the side. There is a little ridge that hangs down in the body, the same ridge you put a jack under I believe. That is what the hangars connect to. It has been a while since I've looked at it.
