@elliotnicklin If you are using synths that uses allot of ur CPU, and using allot of plugs, just remember that logic will crash if you have like 30 tracks. And imacs are pretty expensive if you compare it to a PC.

@Sprangeful Indeed. I use Massive and Sylenth mostly and a few instances of both. My multitracks hardly ever exceed that but may do sometimes. Which mac would you suggest? I thought a Macbook but they're insane expensive if you want a good spec. And the minis dont have optical drives anymore I thought he imac would be the best option

@elliotnicklin Yeah, thing is, the only reason I would get a Mac, is Logic. I dont think it's worth getting an expensive computer like that just for one program. That's why I will switch to Ableton, Fl studio and Reason on a PC. I will get a much stronger PC for a cheaper price. But if you really dig Mac, then go for it! Just dont be afraid of trying another DAW. One thing you can do, id you are good with building computers or know someone whos good, is building a Hackingtosh.

@Sprangeful I use cubase 5 at the moment, considering an upgrade to 6. I've used FL but could never really get into a good workflow, very unergonomic program for me. Reason is decent enough but I was considering logic/mac as my course at uni uses it and I'm finding myself a bit restricted by not being able to do anything at home.

@elliotnicklin Well, if you do have the money for a mac and Logic, go ahead! It's a great program. I personaly find that for electronic music, Ableton is better, or maby just more exiting.

@elliotnicklin It's a PC that will run the Mac OS. Just make use to do your research, you cant use any parts. You need to be 100% it will work before you buy them.

@DallasGreen123 he might just have his sample rate up high to save some ram usage for his pc(while using all the plugins ect). but when tracking he probably has it allot lower around 64.

The soundcard looks like an Apogee One (On top of the edirol), the keyboard if i'm not mistaken is an M-audio..Oxygen?, Yamaha KRK Rokit? and the scratching mixer and tables, I have no idea, I have no experience with those..

Not that getting any of these yourself does anything other than spending your money, you need to find your own best workflow to produce your toons, and stick with that regardless of what people say. I've grown accustomed to the M-audio axiom pro, the sliders and knobs..godly
