He's talking about Paranoid Park. And it's amazing to me that this faux-experimental film somehow managed to do well with critics. The acting is ludicrously bad, having recruited all its cast from myspace. The writing is nearly transparent. I appreciate that Van Sant and this dude are attempting "visual sculpture" or something else equally pretentious, but this is just ridiculous.
No-one cares what exactly it's like to be a 16 year old boy. Write a real plot or give it up.
