@FenderMayones I use DR strings - usually nickel. I think when I recorded this I was using Sunbeams, although I've since tried Lo-Rider nickels and really like them too!

For all of my videos I use the same recording method - bass plugged direct into a Focusrite USB interface, which itself is plugged into a macbook running Logic. For this particular video I obviously added reverb, plus compression and minimal EQ.

It'd be nice to be able to mic and have a nice preamp though!
