@PreyTheSun On PC, space is melee and tab is block. It's sort of a timing thing, you can't attack straight out always, and your blocking has to be put up a bit before they launch their attack. On Playstation, the respective buttons would be X and O.
@PreyTheSun Most of the time you want to avoid melee because then you minimize your chances of being suprise buttsecks by genestealers. However if you are like me and have a stubborn hard on for terminators with thunder hammers the key is timing and their predictable attacks and when to parry and attack, WATCH THEM CLOSELY. If you master this then you only have a 1/10 chance of being killed, however melee is still not suggested as a strategy if you wish to minimize chances of dying.
Pretty amazing that those Genestealer animations still hold up. One thing that gets me, though, is how the Power Weapons seem to kill the 'stealers by shocking them, when really they should be splattering them across the room!
damn you Games Workshop give out the licensing so THQ can GrandMaster this game. think of it single player and online lan or steam. acid blood, i mean with all the new tyranid stuff etc etc. you could really make this game fun and interesting for a long time.

I have one programmer that is somewhat active. I've become big boss of this project, and I do mostly everything myself, besides from this programmer. I got a few friends that will help to some degree, like with sound and promo posters and some 3Dmodels.
But to answer your question, it's mostly me and this other guy atm.
Thankfully space hulk is a simple game there is light at the end of the tunel anyhow :)
when i was a teen i bought this and my mother saw the box cover and saw some action during gameplay, thought its too violent and freaked and forced me to take it back to the store and buy some other game. so i swapped it for return fire, lol.
@zibafu I regret to inform that I don't know how to get it working on Vista, as I've never used that OS. But you can try the method that's used to get it working on XP. You have to copy the game to your hard drive, then, go into Hulkdata -> Bin. In there, copy Hulkw95.exe and Hulkset.exe. Return to the root folder before Hulkdata, and paste the files there. They should work from that location.
@MaestroSpartan that helped a lot, but still not quite there, had to download dplay.dll file for it, but now in the setup if I check play max resolution the game opens but instead of one genestealer intro attack after the ea symbol is now like 10 genestealer intro at once if you get me, overlapping eachother, if I uncheck the max res, game doesnt open :s
@zibafu You could try running it with a program called DOSBOX. It's a pretty useful program for running the old Dos and Win games. You might have to do some tricky work to get some games working, but it's failed me ever since I started using it.
@HardWarUK An excellent point. I've had about enough of a break and I feel like putting some more videos of this out since it's so little documented. You can expect the game as is, no unnecessary music.
@HardWarUK In review I feel this game deserves more uploads as is. Not to say I regret making the montage, but it's not the best representation of the game even if I look back on it kind of fondly.
This is one of the best 95' games in my opinion. Won't work on ME, XP, even went to the trouble of installing Windows 98 on my old laptop and it wouldn't work either. Shame because it is a great game and passes the time.
I love Space Hulk. It's such a fun game to play. I'm really good at this game, and can beat many, many missions without any terminators dying. The fastest I completed a mission was about 50 seconds, and that was one of the training missions "Escape".

Melee is easier than in the first Space Hulk because the animations are smoother. However, there is also a slider in the game configuration that allows you to increase or decrease the game's difficulity... I'd say he toned it down a bit prior to recording.

The game has a tactical screen where you can issue commands to your squad. In fact, you could use this screen exclusively and let the AI handle the actual fighting. The player can jump in and out of direct control of any terminator he wants. The AI is generally not so good at HTH, so the best way to play it is to have your squad perform 'lockdown' patterns and play the point-man yourself.

By issue I meant technical difficulty, not that you don't like it. You said you found it but it doesn't work? I really highly doubt this game can be found free.
These are some of the easiest levels in the game, you haven't really seen what they're capable of. On some levels they can INSTANTLY kill you the second you engage in CC with them, all of them in the stage can do this, and your AI team mates are susceptible to this as well. Have fun getting through with no casualties.
You're making assumptions of my play style on a montage catered to just one. Shooting in this game is awesome, ripping apart crowds of genestealers with bolter or cannon. Even fire is immensely satisfying. That said, you don't get a visual representation of your gun in the game which reduces the impact a little. The melee in this is slightly more fun for me, personally, because of the interaction and visual aspect. If you said "efficient" instead of fun you'd have an argument. You don't.
I considered the game to be more 'fun' when I purposefully tried to fire my bolter so fast that it jammed, then see if the arbitrary (and variable!) waiting time for it to clear would save me from having to bother with melee, or if I'd have to watch one of the twelve-or-so bog-standard close range genestealer animations.
If you'd acknowledged the fact that other people can still have opinions you don't agree with, you'd have a retort. You don't.
But that's exactly my point. We can't have a solid argument because we're debating opinions. The argument would be valid if saying that shooting is more efficient than close combat which is a fact. Also, you gave no reason for your assessment til just now. What's the problem, though? They have a nice share of different attacks which can come from either side and there's at least 4 unique melee weapons.
I made my Space Hulk preorder as soon as I heard they were releasing it- the miniatures look brilliant- I may even be able to get my non-game playing mates to play it!

When it lunges, you're dead already, thats just the animation. You block BEFORE it attacks, and therefore the block attack animation is shown.

Well, It seems to me Melee is very easy in this version, I only have the original and melee isn't near this easy.

Melee is easier than in the first Space Hulk because the animations are smoother. However, there is also a slider in the game configuration that allows you to increase or decrease the game's difficulity... I'd say he toned it down a bit prior to recording.

the original 1 wi death wing were sorta more like the board game (ruffly sort of) if u wanted it to be. it had timer and things, i can hardly rember it now tho m8 was wen i were younger. but u had 2 click where ya men went and thy walked but u clicked ya mouse and it went 1st person and ya shot em but its flukey hard as fuk game

The game has a tactical screen where you can issue commands to your squad. In fact, you could use this screen exclusively and let the AI handle the actual fighting. The player can jump in and out of direct control of any terminator he wants. The AI is generally not so good at HTH, so the best way to play it is to have your squad perform 'lockdown' patterns and play the point-man yourself.

The music for this video is awesome, I don't understand how people can say it sucks.
If it's an issue, I can't help but add my two cents. Here's why I thought the music was good:
1. The almost monastic introduction to the song set a certain mood for the video (I thought it went well with Space Marines?)
2. The timing of the music and video was excellent. I especially liked the distinctive radio chatter in the background (specifically at the beginning)

These are some of the easiest levels in the game, you haven't really seen what they're capable of. On some levels they can INSTANTLY kill you the second you engage in CC with them, all of them in the stage can do this, and your AI team mates are susceptible to this as well. Have fun getting through with no casualties.

You're making assumptions of my play style on a montage catered to just one. Shooting in this game is awesome, ripping apart crowds of genestealers with bolter or cannon. Even fire is immensely satisfying. That said, you don't get a visual representation of your gun in the game which reduces the impact a little. The melee in this is slightly more fun for me, personally, because of the interaction and visual aspect. If you said "efficient" instead of fun you'd have an argument. You don't.

I considered the game to be more 'fun' when I purposefully tried to fire my bolter so fast that it jammed, then see if the arbitrary (and variable!) waiting time for it to clear would save me from having to bother with melee, or if I'd have to watch one of the twelve-or-so bog-standard close range genestealer animations.
If you'd acknowledged the fact that other people can still have opinions you don't agree with, you'd have a retort. You don't.

But that's exactly my point. We can't have a solid argument because we're debating opinions. The argument would be valid if saying that shooting is more efficient than close combat which is a fact. Also, you gave no reason for your assessment til just now. What's the problem, though? They have a nice share of different attacks which can come from either side and there's at least 4 unique melee weapons.

Dude you fucking own , it took me forever just to figure out that there was a melee move and i never got past the 3rd level cuz I couldnt figure out what to do and was stuck just killing idiots over and over!!!
You gotta show the last level or something like that , man that hammer and sheild is like invincible , damn i wish I had that shit man , I had it for the PS1!

Dudes, it's fine. I don't really care, and I put this music on here when I was like 13 or 14 years old. It just gets a bit frustrating when someone thinks they're expressing an original opinion and uses such terms. I've had at least 10 different people say on here with slight changes to word usage the music sucks.
